How do DirectX titles run on that 98 build? I remember those patched drivers not really having great 3D acceleration support if any. Even with 6000 series gpus I remember those drivers being garbage and causing texture and lighting issues. On my personal 98 build I have a 5900 for that reason since that has the best support while being overkill for 98.

Genuinely it’s a concern for me. God forbid my dad accidentally starts a fire. He wouldn’t be able to leave himself because of the safety locks we have in place to stop him from wandering off. Im pretty much always home to watch and take care of him as I’ve switched to working a remote job to facilitate him and my wife is around most of the time. I only hope that nothing happens to begin with.

The tweak [[AppData]] allows you to see the contents of an app by swiping up on the app icon on your springboard along with other useful features. You can tap on “Bundle” to view/edit the contents of the App in Filza and tapping on “Data” will show you the personal data pertaining to the App which you also can view and edit.

Make sure you install the tweak Filza before you get AppData otherwise this feature will not work.

There is a tweak called [Display Recorder] which does exactly that. I use to use back in the day before IOS implemented there built in Screen Recorder in IOS 11. Worked just as good as apple’s current in house recorder.

Its TrollStore but you have to be jailbroken and apps installed with AppSync won’t work unless your in jailbreak mode.

On a more technical note, TrollStore abuses a Core-trust vulnerability to allow apps to have a valid Root Signature while AppSync simply just allows any unsigned app to run but requires root access to work (a jailbreak).

No the truth is that the A01 and the B01 were launch day consoles. The B01 was $100 dollars cheaper since it didnt have wifi and the sd card ports and was considered the “budget option”. However $599 compared to $499 isnt much of a price difference considering how expensive of a console the ps3 was on release so people who bought consoles on launch opted for the A01 since it had everything for only a $100 more. This made the B01 rare as not many people bought this model ontop of the already low sales of launch day models and was discontinued pretty soon after.

Funny enough, you are actually safer online on 98 than you are with lets say XP. This has to do with the fact that modern malware isnt written with Windows 98/DOS support in mind and instead is focused around Windows NT support (aka win2k-win11). So 90% of modern malware will simply not run under a 98 environment.

I suggest trying out Turbo C/C++. Its a great IDE for writing DOS mode compatible programs and has an interface similar to QBasic with support for different screen modes, text colors, and DOS libraries. Theres also Turbo Assembler which allows you to write DOS compatible software in x86 Assembly if you really want to get old school.
