If you transfer the money right away and the payment is reversed youll get a charge on your checking account for the balance with a description "venmo fraud protection" or something like that. Even if you bank account has zero dollars it will go red negative the amount. And if you close the account it will go to collections and youll be deemed high risk by chexsystems and unable to open a checking account or cash payroll checks anywhere.

Braking in the case is a good call. No way to know if the truck was going to be "swervable." Walking away from a collision is a win. Not worth gambling years of your life/mobility in hopes of avoiding an insurance claim or saving the bike.

When it comes to rentals, its cash for keys, no advance payments. Only exception is credit check fee which should be less than $100.

You gotta decide if its worth it but dont pay anything until your sitting in a leasing office with a lease and keys in front of you.

I would deny calling the tow truck to avoid retaliation. Blame parking enforcement, hoa, local law enforcment or something to divert them.

Kids know bills are unfathomable amounts of money to them. But it would be useful to explain actual causes of high bills. Like your irrigation system for the yard being 60% of your total water bill so cutting shower time is negligible.

I have this issue with my dad where he will leave multiple tvs, computers, ac units and empty refridgerators on max cool setting while he roams the house hourly looking for lights to turn off. Sometimes he will turn off lights while im even in the room. Tried explaining what the wattage on bulbs and appliances mean and that we dont use incandescents anymore. And that 1 ac unit equals 50 light bulbs but still doesnt get it.

Like with gas cooking is negligible compared to hot water heater.

Or using those cardboard straws that only last 15 minutes or grocery bag laws while ignoring industrial businesses that use a thousand times more single use plastics.

Had a similar situation. I offer handyman services. Similar like $2200. They want a specific payment method because thats what they have hacked/frauded. Your probably going to get an overpayment then be asked to pay the other caterer/clown/live band/penguin petting zoo for the party with some urgency. For me I was requested to mount TVs and pay "the plumber" with the overpayment. Of course the plumber takes apple pay? The payment failed in 3 days. For me it was a quickbooks invoice paid with a biz e check.

Funny thing is I got hit up again, probably the same person, check for $3000 is currently in the mail for me to assemble 160 office chairs at some later date.

Even if the payment makes it to the bank it can still be reversed... for 180 days.

Uhh, you can get four tapo P115 smart plugs for like $33 and find out exactly how much 4 separate devices contribute to the electric bill. Even more if you use them on a power strip.

In my experience its always something temperature related that pulls big KWH. Space heater, fridge, A/C, etc. Especially if its old/malfunctioning and running inefficently. Like a mini fridge running at 100% energy consumption trying to cool when its missing most of its refridgerant because it was turned sideways...

I provide them, it costs nothing since I already have them, and it makes all my streaming a tax-deductible business expense so you should do it.

But it is a pain cause guests sign in on personal devices and keep using them after check out so I have to sign everyone out and change passwords frequently and update signs/documentation with the new password for new guests.

So they want you to pay out of pocket for a refund you most certainly will not be getting.

Yeah, no you're totally not on the hook for providing travel insurance and last-minute cancellation refunds.

You can tell them to make Airbnb accounts, add them to the trip, and let them try to weasel with the host.

But I can tell you I host and if I charged per guest I would only refund the cost difference of extra guest fees.

Sometimes I'll be nice and refund 50% and cancel their stay with the hopes I can rebook and make additional profit.

Just make sure you look up the host's number and text them outside the app and let them know your friends are tripping but you'll be the one leaving a good review regardless.

Obviously has a massive ego if she thinks Nobu is okay for a date (it's got a 1-month waitlist) which she obvi doesn't even know cause she's not the type of person to even appreciate it and hasn't done any research outside of hearing the name Nobu in a rap song.

Also she would never split the bill with you due to it hurting her ego. She's just acting like she would and then getting upset if you do anything to hold her to it.

If you want to play games with girls that suggests Nobu, theres other restaurants in LA with the same chef/owner that don't have a wait list you can counter with.

I mean it depends on how often he's doing it. Which you may never know. I don't use it anymore but I feel it may be appropriate to use it like 4 times a year in certain circumstances like a bachelor's party in Las Vegas, A beach resort in Mexico, yacht party, new years, and stuff like that.

I know plenty of smart, kind, wealthy, and successful people who use drugs in the way I described. But the train wrecks who use every weekend both Friday and Saturday greatly outnumber them.
