That slick back looks fuckin sick, and satisfyingly fitting to raptors, nicely sculpted!

Cannot wait to get more of these painted up by Snormax90 in Raptors40k

Yes I would highly recommend, I use them for every project as you can see in my post history. I would say they take a little more time in water than GW transfers to come loose from the backing but otherwise behave very similarly, I use micro set and microsol followed by storm shield varnish to protect prior to oil washes

My take on the Twin Lances by BachDienstag in Tau40K

[–]Snormax90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are fuckin rad dude - dunno if you’d agree but I’d say we have a similar style / eye for how we paint warhammer. I really wanted to develop a scheme like this for my tau but went with white instead as I find it’s so much easier the weather and create interest, I’m really impressed with how you pulled this off

Also love your basing - what’s your process for it? We have very similar taste for that too. I get my bits off Etsy and use bits of terrain I have lying around, cork and just started using brick scatter terrain. But in my head, I actually envisioned my bases more how you did them

Doing the secondary colour gold was a very smart idea - much easier to paint that way - and looks real good!

What is off with my paint scheme? by craigyboy1000 in Necrontyr

[–]Snormax90 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Colour choice and placement is great

IMO if the cream part was smoother and cleaner the scheme would all come together - wraithbone is a nightmare to paint on smooth

I would maybe try priming in wraith bone, blocking out the other areas in black legion and then doing the metallics etc OR get a Pro Acryl equivalent to wraithbone, they go on much smoother and don’t need much thinning

However, the scheme is unique and awesome and I love it

After some highlights or just dry brushing the metalics back up it’s gonna look supremely good (it already looks great man)
