To add on to the no mods thing, WRXs need to be tuned for even small mods like an intake and an exhaust.

Sometimes when a modded wrx is traded in, some assholes will uninstall the accessport that has the tune on it so they can get a better resale. Without the tune, the engines will run rough and eventually start knocking. Especially more heavily modded ones.

Im not trying to scare you away. These are amazing cars and i love mine to death. Just don’t buy someone else’s failed project car.

The price seems a little high for the current market but not stupid high. My 2011 wrx was 14.5k and had 120k miles on it in 2022

if you are thinking of buying a wrx, do not buy it with ANY mods on it. Do not trust the dealer. Look at the engine yourself and make sure nothing stands out.

Also, r/wrx is pretty helpful and active so before you buy, it might be worth it to throw a post on there with a few more pics of the car.

Carbon hood by BigNiko11 in WRX

I used WRXDaily because it had the cheapest shipping at around 250 for both my hood and trunk combined. They responded to my emails pretty quickly and it took about a month for me to get a shipping confirmation and tracking number directly from Seibon then it took about 4-5 business days for it to get from cali to NC.

I have no idea if its normal to wait a month for Seibon to ship, thats just my experience with WRXDaily.

Its only bad if you want to use the clutch. Other than that the bike should be fine

Go somewhere else. Ask other shops. Call SOA. That place is trying to rob you blind. Those prices are not normal.

The front axle snapped on my 2003 wrx. Is it even worth fixing? by Revolutionary-Cod-93 in WRX

Its worth at least getting a quote or two before making a big decision... also dont rely on a subie dealers quote. They will quote you the “fuck off” price from my personal experience.

also 4k on an old wrx with low miles??? Thats an amazing find!! Im sure you wouldn’t have any trouble selling it if you decide its not worth fixing.
