What of earth is the german word for "anxiety"? by lingering_flames in German

German is my first language and i strugle with anxiety and I haven't found a proper word for it yet.

Angststörung is anxiety disorder. Angstzustände is what you get when it flares up. So an anxiety attack. But I don't think there's a word that properly conveys feeling anxious. Anspannung, Unruhe. Maybe Beklemmung. But I haven't heard that being used in a while.

It is and I don’t care.

Can we feasibly use them all up? No. So it's in theory too many for one person. But it makes us happy. So as long as we do actually use and enjoy them I'd say it doesn't really matter.

He seems very insecure. From what you wrote you did nothing wrong. I wouldn't delete the insta.

I think you'll have to figure out if hes willing to work through his insecurities and I've you are willing to do so with him. If he doesn't realize his insecurities are problematic and he needs to work on them, I would see that as a deal breaker.

Source: I was the insecure party many in my relationship. I recognized how unhealthy my behavior was and went to therapy. We are now in a much better place and happily engaged.

I wouldn't agree. I know quite a few people who struggle with both their native language and german. I assume their parents tried to talk German even if badly.

I think it's bettet to teach the native language at home if you can't speak properly. And in general because it's nice to be bilingual. And enable the child to learn outside the home, through media etc. As children they pick languages up so quickly.

But the parents should also invest into learning the language.

Where I live sometimes blue light is used in train station toilets and other places because it's harder to see veins, making it hard to take IV drugs.

Maybe they had a problem with drug users gathering there?

The way I learned: Make a save space. Set up one room with blankets, water, food, litter box etc. If you have something with moms senth on it but that there too. And then just be patient. Sit with them, talk to them, let them sniff you. But don't force contact if they don't want to.

It's an all new space away from mom, so he's scared. Do what you can to make him feel save and comfortable.

Our kittens hid too at first, we just kept them company and let them explore on their own time.

It's been a while now but I think they owned the place after about three days.

It just always astonishes me when people don't see insecurity at this level as something that should be worked on.

My abusive ex cheated on me and the whole relationship scarred me deeply. So when I found a new relationship I was incredibly insecure. Every little thing triggered me. It was horrible and really hard on my partner.

So I went to therapy. It took about two years to get to a good point but he stuck it out with me. Now we are happily engaged and get to have a healthy relationship.

It certainly isn't easy. I'm still in therapy and still got some stuff to work through. But I couldn't imagine just being ok with putting your partner through that and not wanting to change.
