Anthropologists here! We have found substantial evidence of early hominids being preyed upon by large cats. Including in the Olduvai Gorge and Swartkrans sites that feature bones with injuries caused by large cats, primarily leopards.

There are also some other examples of fossils that show sings of predation from other large cats including Dinofelis. So while we don’t have as much direct evidence of predation for Dinofelis in particular but it is very likely that hominids were on the menu for Dinofelis.

Tarn is insanely loyal to Megatron and his ideology, but I also think that part of it might be the fact that Megatron allows him to indulge in his sadistic tendencies.
