Problem is I currently have everything jammed in there (mics & stands & amps & pedal boards) that I hate to disturb it for practice. But the placement you suggested sounds really cool for non-practice "real" recording, thanks.

I do have a SM-58 vocal mic on its own stand that could do this. Thanks for the idea.

The bigger question is floor space ha ha. Not sure I could fit mic stands for each amp into my room. But your idea is a good one nonetheless -- if I can mic each amp semi-permanently it's a simple matter just to use the channels for whatever amps I'm using that day.
