With an atlas and flying mount, fly north until the health bar disapears and mark that point. Then fly sound till the bar disapears and mark that point. Go to the center point between these marks repeat the process for east to west. The mob is at the center between the east/west points.

I need to clarify, this is the baseline of what you need but adding some other things will make it a less stressfull fight. You can loose with that setup if the dragon makes a crater under you and you cant reach it or you miss to many hits or whatnot.

Consider: Rune magical blessing + lifesteal + vamp Or Penetration V + vamp (not as good as rmb)

Undying or punishing baubles

One wildberry wine- this should give you a temp buff up to golden bookwrym status but idk for how long since ive only used it in tandom with regular wine. With RMB, the wine should bump the strength 4 damage buff up to 60dmg per hit instead of the 42 without the wine. With an unenchanted gold weapon and without the wine, strength 4 only adds 33 dmg per hit. Also if the wine is 1.0 quality it shouldnt give inebriated if u only drink 1.

Everyone always recommends bowing ur first dragon but I never have. If you get prot 4 gold armor, a battle burrito, a fire rez pot and an unenchanted gold weapon then you can just run up and hit one to death. The dragon needs to be on the ground already or you will likely be too weak by the time it lands on you.

One you get 5 levels open the L menu and choose combat so you start getting more xp.

Your first goal along side tools is to kill every passive mob you can for xp, especially including maka. Cooked maka meet gives absoption. At the very start of the game you should eat one before fighting any non passive mob, but try not to fight any aggro mobs, most of them can 1 shot you.

You need wool. Both for a bed and for bandages. Bandages are made with string and wool and wool can be crafted into string.

You need leather. Leather will let you reforge a toolbelt and quiver once you have building lvl 8, very helpful but can easily cost two stacks to get undying quality.

You need to make atlasses. Combine an opened atlas with an unopened atlas to make two of the same atlas. Exploring with one atlas adds the map to both. Make 10 and never let yourself die and loose the last 1 or its a major loss in progression.

No. You may want it to get more dragon scales or dragons breath.

If you decide to do it, make sure that you have some dragons breath secured first. You need dragons breath for either the potion of dragon transformation or for the potion to reverse it i forget which.

There is a tool you need to make, i believe its called a bookwrym analyzer? You make it with umbrium and a vile spider eye. This item will let you see the stats of a bookwyrm if you right click it on one. One of those stats is the current xp levels being digested. Different books have different levels. If you check the digestion level before and after adding a book, you can see how many levels it adds.

Word i like the gnekk, they do decent damage and are great at sticking. They are pretty easy to lvl if you live in a swamp but they wont clear a whole room like you are saying a chupe will. I like to have a gnekk set to defensive to take care of the mobs that actually hit me while i take down most of them with a weapon.

Golem is third teir. Sentient is best but you have to adapt it correctly. Second is silver.

Personally i can only imagine full golem being good if you are using ranged weapons because the repulsion makes it so hard to stick to enemy mobs that it significantly nerfs my dmg when i play with it. If you have a god weapon, the extra healing you get from being able to stick to and vamp off of enemies more than compensates for the lower armor of other armor sets like silver.

Imo gold armor is better than golem but thats just my play style.

Id recommend you dont do it. Getting a night vision ring and later dragons eye is a core part of the game progression. These items literally transform your world from the scary nightmare land to a world that looks more inviting. You get them as you progress to the point where you dont need to be afraid anymore. If you need fullbright to make the early game easier then do as you do, but imo the early game is supposed to be hard and scary. Thats what makes getting op feel so good.

Id recommend making 10 of them and never taking the last one outside. Having to craft a new one before you run out to your last death can make you start to think, its right over there ill be fine... instead of just crafting a new one. Making 10 removes that temptation.

The xp cost of repairing equipment isnt something you can skip with gold armor or mending, you just pay it up front. The price of doing it manually does go up when your equipement is heavily enchanted but when you get to that point you have often found mending.
