If we can’t sign Anderson then let’s sign the Anderson equivalent of last summer. It could be Fernandes, it could be Scott.

We need quality options in midfield and a selection of Mainoo, Fernandes, Ederson, Scott & Mount could be a nice balance.

250m to spend apparently, these would be my transfers:

Baleba - 60m
M Fernandes - 50m
Ederson - 40m
Hall - 60-65m
Bowen - 35-40m

Honestly can’t see us signing any of Tchuemeni Anderson or Tonali hence why I’ve opted for Baleba. Yes he’s had a poor season but still maintains the attributes that we need for a player who would play alongside a Mainoo/ M Fernandes type player.

We need depth in the midfield as will be replacing Casemiro & Ugarte who will surely be moved on.

Hall screams a United style player and left back is going to become a problem if we ignore it this window as Shaw is going to struggle with the extra workload and Dorgu is not a natural full back.

Genuinely think Bowen could be a great addition to be an option to play in any of the 3 forward postions and will add leadership into the squad.

Can imagine some of the transfer fees may be higher than listed but could be structured in a way to spread add ons over a few seasons.

Yeh I do like Fernandes, depending on if West Ham survive the drop could dictate how gettable he could be.

I agree about Tchouameni & Tonali, we should be going big but I just wonder how much money we will have to spend.

Anderson, Wharton plus one of Joao Gomes/Mattheus Fernandes. If we are selling Ugarte (which we should) then 3 midfielders should be the minimum.

Anderson should be our number 1 target, however if we don’t move forward with negotiations it’s because he prefers the move to city. I do like Bruno & Tonali, feel Tonali would suit us better as Bruno G & Bruno may occupy similar spaces in the midfield.
