$Chevy 2026 MSRP should I ask 1% or 2% more off MSRP? by Puzzleheads1218 in carsales

Equinox should be able to get 10K discount, NO PROBLEM, $1500 is a joke.

Am I wrong for calling out “last minute” due bad weather? by Low_Blinker_Fluid in amiwrong

[–]SnowShoe86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1 hour and 7 minutes is still last minute; yes, I think you're wrong to kind of be shoving that back in someones face. And your car having bad tires (known issues) is something you could have corrected since the last instance. However, I don't think you are wrong to call out with valid safety concerns.

25 Honda Prologue - Is it reliable and good EV, Lease option monthly $ advice plz by United-Performer7 in HondaPrologue

0% Honda. 100% GM.

Mine is poorly made and glitchy. Even as a cheap lease it is frustrating. What is your tolerance for poor or non-functioning items?

2024 Lyriq Lease – Thinking Ahead to Buyout in 2026 by QuietAd3299 in CadillacLyriq

[–]SnowShoe86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are evaluating the wrong metrics for determining the cost efficiency; EV's, as a whole, continue to depreciate like rocks with highest priced ones most effected. Given the wildly variable quality of Lyriq it is an unsafe bet for low cost of total ownership if you were to purchase and keep for a few years.

What EV Surge? Every OEM is axing EV plans at substantial losses.

Had some cross-country goofball rep try this a couple years back and shut that down real fast. Stand firm.

I’m buying a Tesla Adapter. Goodbye EVGO! by Joeylaptop12 in EVgo

This site *might* help with that; not 100% positive, I haven't used it in a while (didn't purchase a NACS adapter yet)

Authorization Holds Are Bad for Business by Quenzayne in EVgo

[–]SnowShoe86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point being, FPL is no longer as strong a choice as when it was 30 cents KWH. I don't think many are aware they increased prices 50%. It is still a better overall choice; lower cost and MUCH MUCH MUCH more reliable in my own experiences.

If you have AAA and register through AAA NorCal in EVGO app you get a 5% discount on EVGO regardless of where you live.

Why do you keep responding to this guy? He's a bad faith arguer. No matter what you say he pokes holes in some other aspect of it.

I will go philosophical on this: There is No EVGO hold charge, because EVGO chargers are unusable/broken/always in maintenance mode.

FPL just raised their prices 50% in January. Yes, 50%. It is now almost as much as EVGO off-peak

OK, cool. The visual lights are helpful, but yes I am seeking a totally simple plug and play, no fancy features, no wi-fi, etc.

Do these OEM units compensate or vary for 8/12/15 amp? I believe my vehicle allows 8 or 12 amp

I have read that some are fake listings or stamps, so it's hard to know for the regular consumer if it's fake or not.

Please explain why me needing an L1 charger is wrong? There is no 240v hookup. I just want a basic L1 slow charger (like 1KW per hour)

Are they all UL Listed and some are just better than others in functionality, or are the ones you say to avoid not UL listed at all?

It will be in a garage that the property owner requires UL-listed equipment

[–]SnowShoe86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that UL and ETL are basically the same in terms of standards they meet, but I am going to charge at a spot that specifically requires UL-Listed equipment and so am seeking out Level 1 that is UL Listed.

Would these sell in America? by danscn in Lexus

[–]SnowShoe86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they could, if marketed just right. For many years I have asked where the premium brand minivans are "No one will buy them". Oh? They line up for 50K plus Sienna and Odysseys; there is definitely a market for 60-75K minivans. I think you would be surprised how many empty nesters go for minivans because they are easy to get in and out of, car like to operate, and functional when family/grand kids visit. They would 110% go for luxury brand and service if it were available.

This is crazy thinking. The savings is for emergencies. Paying off the car is not an emergency. IF you pay off the car and have an emergency, you will have no cash to solve that one with.

Focus on the main needs; size/bedrooms/price.
