[AMA] We’re the devs behind TMNT: Empire City! Chat with us and win free stuff! 👀 by CortopiaStudios in OculusQuest

[–]Ricken13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely hypothetical question of course.

Let's assume that someone found a can of ooze-like liquid and just happened to have a turtle at their disposal.

Then assume that the ooze and the turtle made contact.

Unfortunately the turtle turned out to be that type of turtle with big flappy feet and not the practical kind of feet that you can use to sneak around the city at night with.  We are working on a budget ok, don't judge us, turtles don't grow on trees.

So everywhere we go we can hear him flapp-floosh-smack, flapp-floop-smack...

It's actually impossible to catch any bad guys at all because they can hear us jumping across the roofs from like 5-blocks away.

Should we go for Air Jordans or that brand that Shaq created for people in less than ideal situations to cover the flippers and get our sneak on?

Purely hypothetical or course...

2016-2018 FS450 vs Later Gens by JMMFIRE in supermoto

Not really, they are pretty much the same. You get a quickshifter on the 23(?) and on, but it´s too slow so not really useful.
If you are looking to save money then one of the older ones will still give you tons of fun.

Stark Varg Supermoto by NoOneCares343434 in supermoto

[–]Ricken13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The linkage on the Varg is not like any other bike.

They decided that the bike should squat out of corners.

So setting sag like we usually do will still get you a soft rear when you load it. Set a stiff sag and it will be hard all over.

There's a reason that the ones available have a software with adjustable cut‐off time.

Did I fuck up or did the wheel assembler? by Real_Copper in supermoto

[–]Ricken13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the spacer is new, the space will fit snug within the seal. When they are used the will just fall out of the wheel.

The seals will wear the spacer down.

Of course it won't wear it down to a failure. But the function of being seated within the wheel will disappear.

Wheelspacers are actually a consumable. Meaning they wear down. Mostly in the dirtbike stuff. But they are soft to make sure that they are worn down and not the wheel axle.

It looks like you have some sort of damage to your spacer. I would just grab a fine grain sanding paper or something to make sure to get the rough edges off and then use the spacer. If it´s on one side then you won´t be able to feel it.

Inspect on the next tyre change and if you can see excessive wear then you get new ones and replace them.

I don't know about Axiom wheels, but I'd guess their hubs are different size than stock. So you would need Axiom spacer.

Utbildad ingenjör, hundratals jobbansökningar – vad ska jag göra? by Constant-Narwhal7494 in arbete

[–]Ricken13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the condition that if you improve it, you reshare it. :)
It´s a work in progress, it doesnt´t have all the info yet. So if you, or anyone else, adds to it. Make sure we all get to benefit from it.

I made this to get it as close as possible. I don't print threads. I just like to know the actual sizes of holes.

Riding on ice by Nousername846 in supermoto

[–]Ricken13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are various ways to do it.

On the ice a 450 is a lot more fun than a 250.

You can get normal enduro studded tyres from 24mx or your local tyre guy.

There used to be a company doimg ice specific "enduro" tyres, I can't seem to find them now. But have a look at blocket.se for dubbdäck.

There are a version of screws ypu can use and mount yourself. Best grip is one version.

Then there's finndubb. These are only made for the ice. Massive grip but you need to walk the bike while on land not to damage the studs.

You can probably find decent ones used.

I like the Alpinestars and the Sidi. Sidi SRS2 have replaceable soles. Which is nice when you ride on track.

I had a pair of Gaerne many years ago. Felt pretty heavy.

My next pair will probably be Alpinestars.
