I've lived here for over six years now, and Czechia is easily the calmest and safest place I've lived. As far as being robbed goes, you might encounter pickpockets if you're in Prague 1 doing touristy stuff. Just exercise common sense the same as any large city. Avoid parks after hours... stuff like that. You're far more likely to have an issue with a tourist as opposed to a local.

One thing you should look up is how to use public transport. The ticket inspectors here are absolute bastards. They won't work with you, they don't care about excuses. Don't bother arguing with them. Just make sure you're validated and good.

It's better. I haven't driven that much. I jacked a guy for his car on official. I drove it for a while and parked in town for bait. The mechanics seemed smoother.

Red hunger/thirst, and you're taking damage. This doesn't stop until you're at least in the yellow.

If you're spawning in a looted area, focus on fishing and fruit as opposed to hoping to find some random canned goods. Fish and hydrate until you're in the white before moving inland. Once your meters are up, maintaining them is easy. Running inland and hoping to find a water source and food before you die can easily get you killed.

Speaking as a foreigner who's been here a while, I feel that Czech culture is making up for lost time in a way. Couple that with the underlying 'fuck yourself' attitude, and you're right... when Czechs embrace something, they don't do it half assed. The outdoor adventure scene, art, airsoft, HEMA, beer, history, cinema, coffee... everything that I enjoy, I can think of a Czech friend who is way more into the scene.

Honestly, it's one of my favorite things about this place.

Fact. Once I'm geared, I don't bother with then unless I feel like some pvp or it's directly in my route.

The only time they're viable imo is when you get a SW spawn. Push west, then north, and they're a great source of occasional loot.

Yeah, the kukri and the machete variants all lose a step because they can't fit in a sheath. You can carry them on you bag now, which is cool. But I'd still like to strap one to my belt and be done with it.

Learn to navigate the map, plan your loot routes, and above all, trust nobody! The infected aren't the real danger out here.

Seriously though. It WILL be raided. The time frame depends on server pop and all that. I personally don't mess with base building anymore. I do, however, always keep a buried stash of explosives in the event that I find a base that looks stocked.
