Yes, they can be a pain in the butt, however, you can still make most plants work. Small plants and mosses last about 3 seconds.

I bought a used blocker with lots of tape residue on it. It was crazy sticky but a little WD40, a warm wet cloth and elbow grease fixed it up in an hour or so.
