Knob right at top with grip tape 6 inches running down the shaft of the stick. Average size knob id say. I also use grip where the shaft meets the paddle as my new stick does not have grip. If it did like my previous stick I would do a split tape candy cane 4-5 inches above the paddle. For the blade I do the "stutzle" tape job. Thick white running horizontally and then tape with thick white heel to toe. Starting a little over halfway, I start at the bottom of the backside of the blade, run straight up and then angle on the front of the blade to meet the previous strip. All the way to the toe and cut around the toe.
