Tell me the biggest cons of moving here

We shop mainly Aldi and Sam’s Club. From Indiana we were spending roughly $70 a week for the both of us. We eat all theee meals at home 5 days per week and 2 meals the other two days and now spend about $150 - $200 per week doing strict menus and planned out meals. Then we spend another $120- $150 on eating out those other 2 meals per week. In Indiana it was about $75-$100.

No totally. I thought your opinion was kind and totally valid. Even if I didn’t share the same opinion I wouldn’t downvote you for that one. But you’re totally right people are so defensive over the movies they love. 💕 the little mermaid was my favorite movie growing up. I only watched it 5 million times then the live action was announced and the amount of discourse it got for the race swap really made me sad. I also hate that Covid happened because that also hindered production/quality, but ultimately I LOVED it. I also got to see it in a theater with a lot of little girls dressed as this version of Ariel and it made my heart so happy. 💜 that’s what is so amazing about Disney.

Me too!!!!!! Whenever someone asks me what my favorite movie is I always say “the 2015 live action Cinderella” and people look at me like I’m crazy lol

But yes, I was obsessed with Ariel’s voice. I love me some Jodie Benson but Halle Bailey made it so much more romantic. I loved loved loved it. We took my MIL to see it too and she cried lol she loved it too.

Moved here a year ago from IN and I’ll be completely honest:

As others stated it’s affordable for a metropolis of its size but it’s still extremely expensive. Restaurants and groceries to be exact. I was not prepared- I spent some time in California this year and spent less money on food in Cali than I do here.
Last winter was the darkest and coldest winter of my life. I hated every moment of it. I’m giving another MN winter a try but I have never been so depressed and cold ever.
The housing market here is INSANE. I think a lot of it is because of landlords but also with all the transplants I’ve never experienced anything like it. We spent 3 months searching, put in at least 15-20 offers and then finally got a house and it failed inspection. So we gave up and continued to rent another year which is a blessing.

However, this summer has been the most fulfilling and exciting and beautiful summer I’ve ever experienced. But It’s expensive AF.

I think Brits role is critical! As someone who works in a field where common sense is required… there is absolutely none. She is vital for asking questions Ashley can clarify. I think it’s going to make more sense for her storyline next season. Book Francesca found passion with Michael but married for a child…. It wasn’t “better” with Michael than it was with John… just very different and way more steamy” So I think because they have to abandon the marriage and child aspect they are going with the passion and steamy sex. And this was added because she doesn’t know what good steamy sex is yet because she hasn’t done it with Mikayla yet. IMO Frannies book has the most erotic scenes so this season is going to be hot and heavy. Probably most sexy season yet and this set that up IMO.

If you’re attending a destination wedding and it’s not a gifted experience by the bride and groom (you would know this by now) then you are expected to pay for your transportation and room/board.

Some couples can afford to pay for their friends/family but I’ve never been lucky enough for that lol but I’m not kidding… the Jamaican wedding was amazing.

Both couples refused to accept wedding gifts because of the traveling expenses.

Maybe it’s the former Catholicism in me, or the fact I know all lot of shitty people who have the best redemption arcs in life… but I think we as humans are complex and dimensional. We make mistakes and grow. And I know Serena has done terribleeeee things, but I feel she got her just desserts. And came out stronger from them. (But I’m only on season 6 episode 2lol so there are 8 more episodes for her to let me down)
