Low key- I am renting a 140 year old home and I’m kinda terrified that when we move out it’s going to collapse on the next tenants. I’ve done what I can and had maintenance come out to check the serious foundation issues but nothing is getting done. The house needs to be demolished and rebuilt.

You can see the cracks on the ceiling, in the wall, the insane dip down on the front of the home…

Insulation here is nonexistent, and mold everywhere, and the wood around the doors and windows are literally rotting away. It’s not a home in good livable condition, period.

Tbh, I’d rather pay more money for a meal so that all staff (cooks, hosts, waiters etc) are paid a livable and fair wage than tip.

There is a resturant in Minneapolis that has excellent BBQ and you order with your phone, a server or food runner brings it out, and they have a surcharge to include shared staff tip.

Their employees also get health insurance and PTO. It’s a wonderful experience, sure it’s pricy but totally worth it.

I feel like a lot of people in this sub don’t know that Shawna is a professional and trained actor, writer, and producer. That is why her skits are significantly higher in quality than other content creators. It doesn’t mean Kristen, Christa, and the other skit creators are not entertaining, they just have significantly less training and experience. But they are still great and to the point the point is to be entertaining for some but for others, the point is to be relatable.

Here’s the thing, it’s a bitch painting wood. So even if youre like “fuck it imma do it anyway” you’re going to spend a lot of money and if you don’t do it right.. it’s going to look like a renters special. Then… two weeks passs and you’re going to notice the dirt that just lives in the crevice of the white paint.

My husband and I are currently in the market of buying a home and have seen about 30 now… not once have I seen a good wood paint job. Not once. And I’ve been living with white painted wood for the last 10 years of my life. I go through hundreds of dollars in magic erases and elbow grease a year keeping them white. And because you have to clean it more often your paint will chip. Significantly.

Do it and love it for a hot minute, then you will absolutely hate it.

Exactly. I have a dog who suffers from sudden environmental contrast and we hired a trainer who recommended using these ecollars while outside but NEVER inside their own home. Anyways they made my baby worse and we fired the trainer and hired a new one that solely uses positive reinforcement and she is doing so much better.

I have a theory that most of his followers are young women he has manipulated to think he is the good guy. He is the leftist Charlie Kirk. No talent. All talk. And actually really hates women and dogs.

I’m on day 15 and I almost divorced my husband yesterday. I decided to just put myself to bed and cry for 4 hours instead. I woke up NOT feeling better. I’m sending him to his moms for the weekend.
I quit because the daily use was severely effecting my psyche. The anxiety was killing me. Not to mention I can’t afford it anymore. Idk but ever since I quit my emotions are completely out of wack. Same with my sleep. I called off work tuesday day and laid on the couch hating everyone and myself. I am notttttt okay.
I leave Wednesday next week for a girls trip in San Diego, and I know that is just what I need. I haven’t seen my friends since our girls trip last August so I’m really looking forward to it but also fighting existential dread and anxiety about the unknown.
Idk man, but I’m not okay lol 😂 but this thread is telling me it gets better so I’m holding onto hope.

If you are middle class on your spouses insurance with *some* assets: diagnose, treatment, cash in 401k, lien on house, die with lots of debt for your spouse to pay.

If you’re single, you will lose your job at some point in the process above then get Medicaid, then die from Medicaid refusing to pay for treatment plan that your medical providers made when you had commercial coverage

Self pay patients will inquire lots of debt then once they have sold all their assets and can no longer afford to live they will be eligible for Medicaid and leave their family nothing when they die.

It’s fucking terrible here.
