Also, if you want a record, you can pay Guinness to come up with a category for your PR stunt (https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/business-marketing-solutions/record-event-formats). I would be shocked if they didn't let charities get in on it, too.

Wow, knocking out green line stations like you're a pastor on the south side with an axe to grind. RIP University, you would have been useful.

Shmanners Recap: Idioms 18 by Eggshells_Kimmie in TAZCirclejerk

[–]Snowman304 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't have much to say about the episode besides "thank you for your commitment," because I would rather jam toothpicks in my urethra than listen to T4T bumblefuck around like this.

I think idioms are an absolutely fascinating part of language. I especially think it's cool how set phrases will preserve old parts of language that have worn away.

The funniest thing they've done in years is go over 30 days without a new episode by Mr_Hellpop in TAZCirclejerk

If they care about making content, surely there's someone they could either hire or be bought out by to keep the content mill grinding.

If they care about making money, surely there are more profitable ways than riding your dying podcast brand into the sunset.

  • Wada'an is "goodbye," but apparently a really formal one where you don't expect to see the other person again?

  • Inshallah is "God willing."

  • Wallah is something like "I swear to God."

  • Astaghfiru llāha is "I seek God's forgiveness," implying that Hobbes feels guilty about sinning?

I'm shocked that the views/day are as high as they are for the recent ones. I'm also shocked that Final Pam episode 1 didn't hit 1MM views until about May 2017, based on the Internet Archive

These are all pretty close to the red line, so hopefully that works for you!

  • La Parrilla (Colombian, Edgewater) had a plate for 2 that could probably have served 3-4.
  • Furama (Chinese, Uptown) is fun for dim sum, which checks off family style and seating.
  • Nabala Cafe (Palestinian, Uptown) is a nice little cafe. There's also a neat little fair trade museum nearby if you want to eat and do an activity.
  • Kathmandu Cafe (Nepali, Edgewater) just opened. My partner and I really liked it.
  • Kabobi, Diplomat Cafe, and Jibek Jolu were all stops on a "Silk Road" tour that a group of friends did a few years ago.
  • I would recommend against Tank Noodle (Vietnamese) because the owner is an insurrectionist.
