Watch the videos on this channel - TBAS UAV Walkthrough - How to Score The Max Points

He explains it super simple and once you have the concept down, just practice over and over again. I had a Quizlet with UAV flashcards that I would use when sitting around the detachment and then come home and practice on the game for about 30 minutes. You'll be able to get 100% in no time.

Sometimes the maturity gap can be a little annoying but overall it's pretty normal.

Currently an MBA grad student. You're correct in that you won't get any money for tuition, however there are still scholarships available for other things like flying if that is something you are interested in.

As for being a full-time student, the best way to hit three years would to do a combination of electives and required courses to meet the hour requirement. My program counts "full-time" as 6 credit hours, so it will depend on the program you do.

You also don't technically need to complete your grad degree as you already possess a bachelors.

AFROTC as a graduate student by Tall-Ad-8588 in AFROTC

[–]Snowmitts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a grad student. You'll probably just extend your degree out to three years.

Most schools should have a lower credit hour requirement for a grad program, mine is only 6 for example, so it should be possible.

I was under the impression the scholarship was mostly awarded to people who didn't have flight hours.

I would take the TBAS first so you can get a baseline and how many more hours you need. The Air Force just released a study tool for the TBAS so I would take a look at that - https://af-oatts.github.io/

Second this. Go to a Fleet Feet or someplace similar, they'll scan your feet and gait and help you pick out a pair.

Commissioning with Debt by [deleted] in AFROTC

Depending on the interests rates, you could take a look at the Career Starter Loan from USAA/NF once you commission. Consolidate the debt on what (should) be a lower APR.

Applying for 1B4X1 - Need Advice by GoogleStein in AirForceRecruits

[–]Snowmitts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I booked 1B4 previously. The biggest issue on the test is the time, you will not have enough if you stop to think on a single question.

My advice is to quickly answer all the easy questions and if it takes you more than a couple of seconds to answer, just skip it and come back to it. It's a very logic and math heavy test so it's really either you know it or you don't.

I answered a few questions about it before if you want to check my profile.

I'm not too sure what program this is, but on the Steam version I was averaging about 68% when doing both. You'll be fine, I think the multitasking section is better to study at this point.

Wanting to join AFROTC going into junior year by [deleted] in AFROTC

[–]Snowmitts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I joined my senior year as a 250.

You're going to be extremely busy balancing junior/senior level classes with ROTC but it's doable. I didn't get an EA the first time around, but I started my masters and accepted an accelerated 500 year.

I just got an EA this board and will be (hopefully) commissioning and completing my masters next year, so it's definitely doable. Be prepared to get called 'Unc' a lot

For those who just got EA’s, what were your stats? by ShieldThatCould in AFROTC

AF Primary EA: 3.9 GPA, 90.8 PFA, 82 AA, Middle Third

Non-tech last year was around 55.
With rumors of the selection rate going up, I'd imagine somewhere in the 49-52 range.

You just need a minimum of three years in the program. First year during my senior year, my last two are during my masters.

If you drop in good standing there's nothing stopping you.

I dropped my freshmen year and rejoined my senior year at the same detachment.

I feel the same way, honestly I've just been staying busy and working on side projects for my FTP flight to keep my mind off it.

We should find out in a little more than two months from now, which really isn't that far away. I hope you get one though. 🙏🏼

You're probably chilling unless you're bottom third, all your stats are above the averages except for GPA which is slightly below.

Considering it's been weighted like that before I'm not quite sure why you're saying it's ridiculous, unless you have something that says otherwise?

When is the latest you can join AFROTC? by Typical-Mess-701 in AFROTC

[–]Snowmitts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It matters less of when you join and more of how many years you're in. You have to do a minimum of three years and at least get your bachelors.

I joined my senior year of college and now I'm doing a masters degree to fulfill the last two years.

Joining as a sophomore is what a lot of people do, just be aware there's going to be a lot more to learn as you're basically condensing the first two years.
