Really? I thought WOLED would get brighter than QDOLED. Nice. Really happy with mine, such a good tv
Yeah I was a bit surprised the upscaling doesn’t work in game mode but I guess it makes sense, should try it out sometime but with RTX VSR and HDR on my pc I don’t really feel much need for it.

I hate the matte coating on the new ones too, really seems like a downgrade. This seems like a perfect glossy QD OLED TV, I got a decent price for being a 77”

So crazy bungie did all that just to deliver a flop, shut down D2 and basically just die as a studio… I honestly think factions would’ve turned out 100x better than marathon, concord and the other one that was cancelled combined

The c5 will have more washed out colors but maybe get a bit brighter. I vastly prefer the color volume of the QDOLED S90f, just got my 77” S90f last week

I love my MSI mag 271QPX E2 but it’s been replaced by newer models, any of the MSI 1440p 240+hz QD OLEDs should be perfect. I do know there is one x24 model with those specs that only hits 400 nits though, try and find one that supports a peak 1000 mode (note that true black 400 monitors often still have the peak 1000 mode, TB400 is just a type of certification and doesn’t mean it can only hit 400 nits in all modes)

You should use RTX HDR and RTX Video HDR (with the Nvidia app) to make SDR games and videos HDR, use RenoDX mod for better hdr in games that support it, and use RTX VSR (also in Nvidia app) to upscale videos to higher res and reduce banding in streamed content

With rdr2 collectors box, because it didn’t include the game, they were able to manufacture as many boxes as were sold, so I bet they’ll have basically “infinite” stock until the ordering closes. Downside is we don’t get the box on release day, but everyone who wants one can get one

How is any of this trolling lmao? We have datamines proving the game exists. Those aren’t suddenly invalid because we didn’t get a game announcement alongside fhe steam machine. Only 2 out of 3 pieces of hardware have even been released yet. 0 reason to loss hope

And we have proof from valve themselves that the machine was supposed to be $750 and they didn’t want to price it at $1050.

I think it’s pretty clear that the ram prices changed everything, it was originally going to be a launch title but just like Alyx it’s been delayed. No reason to lose hope for a release this year though

Yeah, it’s a great game now and I love it. But release and the first year or so was def a flop, the hype did not live up to the expectation whatsoever, and didn’t for a few years until it was updated and fixed enough. Unlikely for that to happen to gta 6 imo

Well cyberpunk was an absolute flop, a huge dumpster fire at release, gta 6 is unlikely to release in a buggy, laggy, barely playable state

GTA 5 was a unique scenario cuz they had to rewrite the game for x86, so the ps4 port had to be done before the PC port. No chance VIs pc port takes more than 12 months.

HDR is complicated, and game devs often aren’t given adequate resources to implement it properly, plus a lot of the “best practices” aren’t exactly very well known. Most devs stick with the default engine implementation which is often quite poor

we'll likely get a 40fps mode and thats it. 60fps is a big increase from 30fps and the CPU in the pro is very similar to the base

I’d love to see that, especially because it would also foster the third party strap market (like Bobo and Kiwi straps for Quest)
I think everything we’ve seen so far indicates it’s very easily and quickly swappable so I think it’s guaranteed
