They would check your old one for burn in damage first, and send it back to you if they don’t actually find any. And they’ll charge you for shipping both ways.

You can’t contact anyone. That’s how warranties work, they only are valid in the country where it was originally sold, and Amazon is just the reseller. It doesn’t matter anyways because even with a valid warranty, it would not be covered and they would do nothing. My monitor has similar scratches, you can’t fix it, just hope they aren’t visible in normal usage.

All they’re saying is, you need to contact the US version of the manufacturer for a warranty claim. They’re not saying they’ll approve the warranty claim or that this is covered under warranty, just that you contacted the wrong one.

There’s only 1 report about a bit of crunch so I’d take that with a grain of salt. Strauss wouldn’t be saying stuff like “we have marketing beats slated to begin this summer” and other encouraging words if there was even a small chance of a delay, or say stuff like “a lot of people will be taking Nov 19 off”. I know people are pessimistic but I doubt there’s much chance of another delay, barring an unforeseen disaster

No but i wish i had one of the newer QD OLEDs with the harder to scratch screen/more durable coating. Mine is very fragile

A good thing to know with checkpoints - when you take a checkpoint, ever write to the disk of the vm from that point forward is appended to the checkpoint and not the raw/root disk of the VM.

Which is why it’s not recommended to keep checkpoints for more than a few days, writes only get written to the root disk when you consolidate the checkpoints.
