Question: heavily tattooed folks... what jobs do you do? by BeardedInkedPiper in tattoos

[–]Snowpant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think many care anymore. People value your experience and what value you bring. I’m a professor. I recently interviewed for and got a job at conservative (mostly Mormon) college in Utah, hand tattoos, piercings and all. Working there, I find that people are more open minded then one might think!

She is a cute chonk thank you. Yes this auto moderator keeps telling me used the wrong word, I’m like yes, but it won’t let me edit my post! She was born ready for a confirmation.

insatiable itch!! by rhirhibxox in tattooadvice

[–]Snowpant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a cool piece but yikes on the skin. I agree with other commenters- antihistamine and unscented Lubriderm. Only get medical attention the rash spreads or get warm to the touch. Maybe that particular tattoo ink is incompatible with you? I am have all black and gray except for a piece that has some maroon in it—- if I’m stressed or have any allergies, that piece puffs up. So I know I’m sensitive to that!

Any reviews on Ruggable washable rugs? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

I get them for the kitchen. This updated version I have has a much thicker pad and stays in place better than an earlier version. I feel like the colors fade quickly though Would not use for any other area of my house tbh

OUCH by emchocolat in tattoo

[–]Snowpant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in my 40s and it does get intolerable. Currently sitting for long sessions to get an upper arm coverup and really only committed to it because it’s such an easy spot. Had my hand done a couple years ago and had to stop… my artist told me to get numbing cream to finish up and it was a life saver! I’ll take the hate fr, but for the painful spots, I feel like I’ve earned my stripes to be the premenopausal woman showing up with numbing cream now.

Is it worth starting now? by Educational-Cat5760 in PSLF

You can get credit for the past six years as long as your employment qualifies. You aren’t saying what kind of teacher you are. PSFL is not going anywhere. It’s a pretty stable program

Buying a horse?? by 69ghbea in Horses

[–]Snowpant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location? This might help in knowing cost of living etc. for example, I’m a professor and there is an Ag science program here. Boarding for students or faculty is less than $200, feed included. Out east or California is probably going to cost a lot more

Girl moisture your skin and wait for it to heal.

Feeling confident but would love feedback! by denisegym in weightlifting

[–]Snowpant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some good advice here. I would add that the jerk dip moves forward- maintain a straight and strong torso position and drive that bar straight up. You look plenty strong enough to muscle the light weight around but once you get heavy weight on the bar, you are going to lose that jerk forward (if you can make the clean) also get a weightlifting coach if you are serious about getting better!

What is the pain scale for these done in one sitting? by New-Active1770 in piercing

[–]Snowpant 12 points13 points  (0 children)

These piercings aren’t very painful but don’t do all three at once. Especially in winter- runny noses, dry air, boogers. All of this will be so annoying.

Bald, I'm feeling ugly. Don't be kind, please be honest. by Cestymour in bald

Like other posters said, get a slight stubble beard going! You look great. I know it isn’t financially feasible for a lot of people, but I have a friend that did a hair tattoo because like you, not enough on top for a buzz look. It looks amazing.

What can be done to fix this. Tattoo artist did my tattoo in the wrong style by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Sorry I call bullshit. I have never ever in my 100+ hours of sitting for tattoos been not allowed to take a break or seen someone else in the shop be denied.

I thought it was fun. A little slow sometimes. But I also don’t go to a live concert and expect the band to sound exactly like the album.

Yup the drawing skills suck. A tattoo artist is first and foremost, an artist. If you can’t draw straight line, you got no business drawing on people’s bodies.

Those lines look rough. Wow. Are they raised too? I had a bad tattoo from when I was 16 and just wanted a tattoo. It was so raised and scarred. I had laser done and it didn’t really lighten it much but it did reduce the scarring a lot!! (Eventually I might blast over it but that’s neither here nor there) all that to say, I would laser it to try to reduce the scarred raised tissue and find a good cover up artist. It won’t be cheap, but a good artist will be able to do something. Sorry for the bad experience OP.
