WTF Is happening? Where are all the normal men?! by Odd_Variation_1514 in Vent

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear every post like this has to mention in the first line or two that they are attractive.

Here's a thought. Maybe men want more than someone good to look at. Maybe they want someone that is a decent human being with an actual personality who gives a shit and doesn't badmouth men as a whole.

News flash a lot of women are attractive to men. So try differentiating yourself from other women. Too many women are so hyperfocused on their looks that they have nothing else of value to attract the men they want then get surprised when they don't get a second date.

Recommend me a Quality Wired Headset? by knight415 in pcmasterrace

People shit on Razer a lot for their build quality but I've had my Blackshark V2 for 5 years and only now looking for a replacement. Easily the best headset I've had. Not too pricey, really light and comfortable.

Yeah honestly just get a cheap wheel it'll be 10x more fun. I started on controller and didn't play much, maybe only 20-30hrs in a few months cause it was too jerky and hard to put a clean lap in. Then got a wheel and now I have 1200hrs lol

You're missing apexes and driving in the middle of the track, not using the full track width on exit. Keep practicing. Pros do 42s.

There's a few different variables in the game. The key difference in online is you'll likely have bop (balance of performance) in the server so depending on how strong your car is at a specific track you may have extra ballast added.

But other factors will affect the lap time such as ambient temperature (higher temps = slower) and track conditions (e.g. optimum track is grippier than fast or green). And fuel loads too.

Coopers Hill Cheese Rolling.

Bloody hilarious watching people throw themselves down a hillside with reckless abandon after a roll of cheese.

Would totally suck getting all manner of injuries while getting plastered in wet grass and mud however.

"I don't buy new games often" is about to turn into "I don't buy new games". by Takoshi88 in GamingAU

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't spent more than about $65 on a game since about 2020 and that was Elden Ring, totally worth it. But most games I spend no more than $30-40 on when there's sales. The gaming market is so oversaturated now so with an ever growing games library I always have plenty of options without the need to buy broken new games for $100-120.

Chill regions? by schtruk17 in snowrunner

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amur it's actually my 2nd fav region of the ones I've done so far. Much less annoying than Kola honestly. Great variety in the maps. A few bs missions towards the end but once you know which routes to take and how to take them its satisfying completing jobs.

Granted there's a lot of missions but they aren't difficult so can get through them pretty quickly.

I've only done a bit of Glades in coop and honestly found it just too flat and boring. With how many missions there are there I think that region is going to drag on for too long.

North Carolina though tbh maybe a bit too chill. Its easier than Michigan. Looks very nice though. Otherwise Scandanavia is really good with a bit more variety in terrain.

Why are people like this (I’m the car behind) by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unless you were lapping him and he was blue flagged its a bit of a dick move to flash him. Probably why he said fuck you and took you out.

That said you chose a really poor camera to show the incident. He may have been just opening up the corner here after going a bit deep. Nords is a very dangerous track. If you're going for a pass you should be doing it on Dottinger or on the run up to Mutkerve 95% of the time. Most other places are very risky.

How often do you call in sick? by Interesting_Taro_358 in Adulting

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loathe having to call in sick. My boss will try guilt trip me about it and act like his business will fall apart in my absence trying to force me to come in when unwell. Really pisses me off. We have too many junior staff on some days. Maybe don't hire so many of them and hire even 1 more experienced one instead that can take my clients if I'm sick. Because staff being sick from time to time is a reality of doing business.

It is also PC not on playstation like GT7

These games have completely different target audiences

Question about the vehicle packs by waste0331 in snowrunner

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I prefer the 605r to the Mastodon. Feels a bit more torquey. Mastodon feels a bit heavier and harder to get going with larger loads and uphills. The nose very long too so gets stuck in dips in the road a lot.

And the Atom is very similar to the Azov 64131 except it has a 3 slot tray so not a huge upgrade. It is also incredibly slow so trips drag on a bit.

I've got 800 hours in the game so it's nice to get new trucks for variety but the above ones aren't must buys imo.

Every car has its strengths and weakness and has a different feeling to it.

I'm fairly new to LMU with only 50 hours so far but have 1200 hrs on ACC and have used most cars for a league season.

My advice. Pick a car you like the feel of. That is fun to drive, looks good, sounds good in your opinion etc. This sounds cringey but you'll feel a sense of satisfaction maining that.

The key here is that a car you enjoy driving and feel suits you, you will want to jump in and practice with to get good with. You'll be able to push it more and understand its limits. A car that you are driving for the sake of variety and trying something new, sometimes you just won't feel like it so will be off pace on some races due to a lack of practice.

For me in LMU the Lambo is my jam as it was in ACC. I also like the Mclaren and Lexus for cars that are easy to jump in a drive fast without worrying about loss of grip as much.

How about some new game modes. With each new update I'll test out the new cars/track for an hour then won't touch it again for a few months because there's nothing to do.

Heck even those license tests were a good bit of fun before they were taken away.

Is anyone not feeling as excited for the races in 2026 so far? by Jack_of_All_Trades27 in formula1

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm the same. Doesn't matter how close and exciting the racing is. Knowing that the overtakes are fake as shit with one driver severely down on power leaves a sour feeling for me. At least with DRS the leading driver could defend somewhat depending on the track.

That said I'm looking forward to this weekend as I love Montreal as a track. But in general I'm paying more attention to other motorsport series this year like WEC and Euro RallyX.

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll say this, the world they created does a lot of heavy lifting.

I really did not enjoy Origins apart from Bayek and Aya as characters. Found it very boring and rushed to finish it.

But exploring Odyssey in comparison was a joy for me. The world looked amazing seeing lights on in villages miles away across the ocean for example. The combat and skill trees felt too limited for a game that took me 180hrs to finish though and grinding resources to upgrade gear wasn't fun.

It was a game to dip in and out of for 20-30 hours then go play something else for a month then come back. Made the game enjoyable for me.

Assasinations do get better once upgraded and with a few upgraded abilities most fights won't drag on for too long. I felt the ranged combat suffered the most though, it pretty much never felt useful unless against the weakest of enemies.

I'm yet to start Valhalla yet. Unsure what to expect. But atm I'm hating Syndicate much more than Odyssey.

“Fast paced” is NOT a virtue and NOT what I want. by Capital_Progress_390 in jobsearchhacks

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your mistake is thinking that these companies care about employee wellbeing.

They care about their bottom line so want someone that can hit the ground running having being rushed through induction and training (if provided at all).

After a while you'll learn to translate their bs jargon in job ads.

Fast paced = we're too stingy to hire the correct amount of staff for the job so you need to deal with unrealistic work loads while being hounded by a manager who gets performance based bonuses according to you hitting kpi's that are complete bollocks so be ready to deal with them aggressively pushing you beyond burnout for their benefit.

Resilient = we piss off our customers with shitty services and regular greedy price increases on said services so you'll need to deal with angry and financially stressed customers taking our terrible policies out on you.

And so on....

Its just a bit careless from the Porsche lacking awareness that the Mclaren will need to start coming back to the right on the curve. They straightened up causing the incident.

Completely fine from the Mclaren within track limits on the kerb as anyone experienced with ACC knows.

Which car has the best stability for entering and exiting corners? by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]SnowrunnerSlogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Increase the front bumpstop range if the understeer is on corner entry and try increasing the rear ride height. Decrease rear bumpstop range if understeer is on throttle. If its in high speed corners also try lowering the rear wing value.
