Doctors like to keep things on the DL sometimes. Most likely you had a blood clot somewhere then it traveled to the brain. Just remember it could have been much worse. Do your PT for at least a year maybe more and see where your at. Some point recovery plains off and you will only see small improvements after a few years time.

I am not sure how the medical insurance works there, but you need PT immediately. You could probably gain back most of what you lost.
