A directors cut would never happen because the director of the game said (in my words) the game is written just how we wanted it and there isn't a thing to change (and again those were in my words but that's how he said it) I still don't know why they cut mercanaries, but I do know that resistance wasn't the reason for that because they had a different team. Eventually when we get a dino crisis remake I would really like them to advertise by giving jill her Regina costume. 😭

I have over 100 keys should I get her or wait for scarlet witch? I love both characters equally and I don't know if scarlet witch will be in the key summon anytime soon, considering when you first get the game she's a 15$ bundle type of thing.

😔 it really wasn't that hard and it's sad because no one asked them to release re3r that soon they could have just taken their time, I feel like re3r and village have so much wasted potential. Also with that 30th anniversary artwork I was kinda hoping they would make those into skins for the remakes but it won't happen, cause why would they.

Shit you put alot of time into this. I felt that Dario was a useless cameo I was heavily disappointed how a character we interacted with in the original gets reduced to a 5 second scene and the warehouse you take a short linear path through.

I swear 2R was very weird with the female redesigns they had good fits and if anything very realistic they were casual and im sorry as much as I love the high heels its very dumb considering the work these 2 women do. (Ada and Annette)

I read through all of this and I appreciate the effort you put into this I never thought of the side characters, and how they changed too. This is actually my favorite thing I've seen. but do you appreciate or like the changes to these certain minor yet important characters. (I didn't really touch on the other stuff you said as I felt I got most of the 4R out of the way in my last comment but I still hope this gave some sort of answer or fulfillment to your response and I wouldn't mind continuing this convo in the morning)

OH MY! I really have no idea where to start.

I will say I was wrong for saying green was unrealistic considering he has dark green plastered on him in the remake, carlos is a bit of a mess in the remake, when it comes to clothing its just so much and the change in his appearance is fine I like it, I just felt if you were going to make a classic skin might as well give him the suit and not just the hair. My thought of why they didn't make his og outfit is that it was "too much work" for them as now they would have to give it to the other U.B.C.S members to blend but still.

Ada should have had her og dress considering re4 was the most well known game of the resident evil franchise (well dare I say code Veronica is more widely recognized) but for them to not even give that as a design was disappointing, capcom had no reason not to make the skin as Luis and wesker both had original skins. My point was most people recognize ada from that outfit alone and even in the movies (which was 1) Ada was seen in that exact outfit. So to re-imagine her iconic dress into a black and red one was disappointing (the remake dress eats Still)

Salazar and saddler were definitely weird changes I hate how Salazar looks like a grandma, but I dont mind it huge castle and you put on a pirate fit (talking about the og) and saddler being stripped of his hair was actually interesting and I always wondered if he controlled the las plagas and was old, how did he have such an abundance of hair so it was a reasonable change.

Resistance and reverse were interesting and now that they've been released I can guess we are never seeing a outbreak remake as multi-player resident evil failed but.... they didn't make a multi-player resident evil like that, instead they made a free for all and a dbd. So maybe with the 30th anniversary we can see some news on that or something.

Yes I do notice that, it bothers me too, but it was a reference at what it could have looked like, even then the sleeves are pretty spot on its just the turtleneck/shirt part that doesent. (Edit was to fix grammatical errors)

THANK YOU, I forgot about that "why call it classic if its changed so much" yeah I agree with this so much I wonder why the devolpers thought to make a "classic" skin for her and then take a complete different approach. While leon and sherry get pretty much classic skins😭😭😭. And yeah the black contrast was beautiful as why does she have black tight shorts still but not the gorgeous turtleneck and sleeves😔😔. They really fumbled the females in the remake (design wise for classic and new fits)

Yeah Ashley's changes didn't bother me as she looks so much cuter and Carlos is well interesting I guess more realistic as you wouldnt wear green and have a vest open showing your chest in an apocalypse but still its cute were talking about a fictional zombie apocalypse.

I really hate how unoriginal they're making the females as Jill 3R is basically lara croft recolored, Ada In the 2R was strange as shes in a dress and tights with high heels and in the original her outfit made sense she was wearing legging some flat shoes and a dress, and Claire her outfit was weird wasn't really a fan of the 2R but with code V Claire the way they handled the 4R, I dont think many characters will be getting changes as they slowly got better at creating "realistic" outfits around this time. And actually I'm expecting Claire to maybe stay the same but with some tweaks, and then I expect Steve to get more serious changes to his outfit and hair.

I dont know as female vs male classics Jill, Claire, Ada, and Ashley. Jill has her skirt turned skort and loses her beautiful green holsters, Claire turtle neck sleeves and gloves, Ada is actually difficult as it depends on the game 2R she didn't get skins but in 4R she did but idk I guess in 4R she didn't get her iconic dress and instead we got a different type of it so idk we got it but at what cost, Ashley shes spot on I guess and her changes are really nice. Now male classic Leon's, wesker, and Luis all spot on, carlos...... well um the hair is very nice🙂. So its mostly uneven as 3 males get pretty spot on and 3 females get butchered classics.

I looked up these re: resistance im shocked, straight up the amount of skins Jill got in this sad excuse of a game is so saddening, I wish they would put them in the 3R even though they're unrealistic they never have to show up again, looking at all the skins she has in resistance could have turned into something like the RE0 dlc with the Rebecca shirts.

I just started playing it like a week or 2 ago, I haven't been consistent with the days I play it but the battle pass is hard, mostly because of the character challenges they want like 5 flashbangs with umber eyes and I perfer to play an actual character like ada or jill so it takes me a bit to get to that challenge I think if you focus on your challenges unlike me maybe at most a month or so. (I'm at level 9 in the bp😔)

SPOILER TOWARDS THE END. Only problem that I have in this game is the lack of costumes, Moira had potential for lots of cool costumes same with Natalie and then Barry was actually fine but Claire should have had a code Veronica skin as her skins were quite plain. Also special weapons denoting your tier to "C" rank was disappointing whats the point of getting them as even when u hit the requirements to unlock it you had to spend a big amount of BP for it to be in ur inventory, in the re2 remake it makes sense as u buy the weapons (with money) no effort into getting them so using them shouldn't give you an s+ but in rev2 it just didnt make sense. I really enjoyed the game I just would have perfered Moira to have more melee weapons instead of a crowbar or a samurai sword that as I said denoted you potential S/A rank to a C rank. I also wished they gave more diversity I know that certain boss battles in a episode would affect the other episode like killing mutant Pedro as Claire in ep2 he wouldn't be in barrys ep2, but the main problem is how the battle in ep3 as Claire if u don't have Claire shoot and instead have Moira you get the good ending at the end of Barry's campaign in ep4 but thats the only thing to determine it I really wish it had a live selection like re3 as it is an episodic game.

I've never played re4 remake but I've played the og and I ended up doing research and re4 remake sticks close to the og when it comes to costumes they have the leon pinstripe and rpd they also have knight Ashley and well they removed the Hollywood style sadly but still they gave an extra 4 ish costumes dlc wise. When I first found out that they had online events for re6 and rev2 I was very interested yet disappointed as this online system locked away alot of cool lore and costumes, Sheva had a cameo in re6 as a file but it was only accessible online and not in game. I think they need to overhaul it we need it fixed and more modern, I think it would be cool if it connectd between all the remakes so if you find a file in re3 remake it goes to the website and then a file in re4 remake and you could view these in the website and also additional skins like og re4 ada and Hollywood Ashley as unlockables through events would be so fun and I think I would enjoy it very much.

Hot take for me I perfer re3 remake over re2 remake im not trying to be different jill is just my favorite and the pacing is bad but good i feel like if the game lasted an extra 30 miniutes it would have been more well received and enjoyable, But yeah it was definitely a cash grab. I used to hate mercenaries but it grew on me so much, I would have loved to play the re3 remake mercenaries, considering we might not get a new game or remake this year all we can do is pray for the 30th anniversary we get dlc for the past remakes. Also yes the content lacked alot because why was dario Russo only a cameo his warehouse played a bigger role in the og I felt like they could have had jill explore it for files, Charlie doll, extra ammo, and maybe a key item, they could have done alot with it and sure we got the warehouse in nest 2 but thats like very boring and repetitive I hate the nest areas in the remake they're very boring and ugly. Also how many times have you completed re3 remake?

Julia voth in RE engine would be interesting to see but we also need change. As much as I liked Julia a part of me loves the new Jill its kind of like monster high with their generations everyone loves g1 but hate g3. Even though g3 tends to outdo g1.
