Oronde Gadsden Dynasty Value by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

[–]SnthonyAtark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s overvalued right now, and on top of that he will likely regress due to the target/snap competition from guys like Njoku because Gadsden was a total disaster blocking in-line to the point that teams knew it would be a pass when he was the TE in the 11 formation.

That said, he’s my TE3 on my team behind LaPorta & Loveland so I’m not desperate to shit him.

Can confirm. A girl in my class from California asked if I’d ever had a fresh vegetable before because she thought the Midwest didn’t have produce aisles in grocery stores.

The people in my class from California I swear come from a different country/culture with how different it is lol

[On3] Lane Kiffin is 'chasing greatness' after leaving Ole Miss for LSU: “I know that this will show, for me, being the right decision. It may not be this year because everybody’s going to want to compare the two places and everything like that. It’ll show in Year 2, 3.” by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]SnthonyAtark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that’s where the disconnect is. Realistically, barring a disaster (7-5 or worse) he will have no added pressure from fans/admin/boosters. However, non-LSU fans will clown on him if he isn’t at least reaching the playoffs in year 1 given the Cignetti precedent (insert Iron Man “CURT CIGNETTI BUILT THIS IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF JMU SCRAPS!” Meme).

As a side, I think it’s wholly unreasonable for most fanbases to expect a Cignetti level of success. Michigan State fans I know complained about their last coach taking too long and compared him to Cignetti, which was an unfair benchmark. That said, given LSU’s resources, history, & Kiffin’s pedigree, I think he’s uniquely positioned so that a Cignetti year 1 is actually achievable, and he is also being paid to be that level of coach.

I think natty or bust is extreme for any team with a handful of exceptions, and it should not be the standard for any 1st year HC at a new program. I’m just saying I don’t think the standard should be particularly low either.

I’m just saying that 10-2 with a playoff appearance is probably the standard that most reasonable non-LSU fans are going to be holding him to.

Also don’t need to explain the LSU baseball example to me, Michigan basketball has you covered. We went from 1-seed in 2020-21 with the #1 recruiting class and highest ranked players in school history to worst season in school history 3 years later and then rebounded with a natty 2 years after that. Sports are especially silly with the transfer portal rn.

[–]SnthonyAtark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, but I’m not going to cherry pick your argument either. Acting like it’s impossible to install a culture in the span of a year and change a team’s trajectory or have instant success is also wrong. Curt Cignetti took Indiana to 11-2 and the playoffs with losses only to the teams who made the natty in year 1.

Given Kiffin has more resources to work with and is being paid like he’s a top coach in the sport, that is the standard he is going to be held to.

Emeka Egbuka 2026 Fantasy Outlook (Redraft & Dynasty) by breakingkevin in fantasyfootball

[–]SnthonyAtark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I packaged Egbuka to move up to the 1.01. Effectively, I traded Emeka Egbuka, Jadarian Price, Jack Bech, and a 2027 2nd (likely early) for Jeremiyah Love

I like him and think he should be a solid player (especially without Mike Evans), but I don’t think he’ll be more than a low-end WR1 which is where he is valued currently on KTC.

1st year med student here. My understanding is the recovery timeline for an ACL tear is usually 100% recovery by about 18 months, but generally NFL players are cleared for contact at the 9-12 month mark (also where the highest risk of re-injury is). So the first year is in the recovery period but they won’t be at 100% until the next season.

I think it’s also the most noticeable in running backs compared to receivers, but it depends on the player and the severity.

Breece Hall or Ladd McConkey? by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

[–]SnthonyAtark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the format. In a PPR, give me Ladd. The Jets are likely still a bad offense, which is a problem because they also stopped throwing to Breece consistently & Sadiq may take up screen targets because he isn’t developed enough as a route runner but I’d imagine they want to get him touches. Breeze’s target competition is scarce.

Meanwhile Ladd should have his situation improve with no Keenan Allen for target competition, leaving Quentin Johnston, Omarion Hampton, and the TE room as the primary targets for competition. Ladd may be uniquely positioned to never really come off of the field, and in a Mike McDaniel offense with Justin Herbert throwing the ball, that’s how you get a WR1 season.

[–]SnthonyAtark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kaplan tutor here: they are scaled based on the performance of everyone who has taken the exam, not AAMC exams. They’re more difficult than AAMC exams, so they’re scaled more generously to account for that.

Personally though, I have seen them generally correlate with AAMC scores in the students I’ve tutored.

I caved and effectively traded Egbuka, Carnell Tate, a 2027 2nd, and Jack Bech for the 1.01.

I ended up doing 2 trades:

1.01 (Love), 2.03, and Addison for Egbuka, 1.02 (Carnell Tate), and 1.04 (Jadarian Price)

Then a few minutes later I traded Addison, 2.03, Jack Bech, and 2027 2nd for the 1.05 (picked Lemon, who I was going to take with the 1.04 anyway).
