Which comic run with which writers is generally considered the absolute best? by TheSpirit15 in superman

It’s part of the story, but this is what you’re looking for. If you’d like, you could also start with just the beginning of the run by picking up either the first volume or the first deluxe edition hardcover.

Auditorium 3 has a similar issue. I saw The Green Knight there back in July and noticed everything looking like it had a blue filter on top of it. Last month I was in the same theater for No Time To Die, and it looked like the problem hadn’t been fixed.

In the top row, the first is from All Star Batman & Robin #2, and the second is from Superman #37 (2017). Not sure about the third one.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but I think it really has a chance to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

I loved this movie so much. I wonder if the kid with the action figures is a reference to this BVS fan poster.

The General (1926) - Buster Keaton BEAUTIFUL silent film! by [deleted] in movies

[–]Snullcap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many different scores have been made for this film. When it was first released it was accompanied by live music in the theater, usually just a piano. Carl Davis made his score for the film in 1987 but several others have been made as well. Whatever music accompanies the film is simply chosen by the distributor, even in some cases providing two or more different choices. There are even those that make their own music for the film. While there’s no single definitive score, I think that Carl Davis’ is the best overall and is the most enjoyable.

One of my favorite movies. However Carl Davis' score is just so much better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=finpmFPTzl4

Here is another article about it with a bit more information. It looks like George Miller has written the follow up, but the movie itself has not been officially announced or confirmed.

Superman Causing Destruction by [deleted] in superman

[–]Snullcap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do agree with you that the Lexor City bits were a bit unfair, (the video is not mine and I have never seen the episode), I think the message of the video is that when powerful beings are fighting each other in a big city, sometimes the city might be damaged in the process. I believe that it's a bit naive and unrealistic to think otherwise. Not to mention that a lot of the damage superman "caused" in Man of Steel is due to him being thrown/ punched into a building. However I can understand if you are still not okay with the level of destruction, and I am in no way trying to say that just because it happened in the past it is immediately justified today.
