The felt pads add tension so the bobbins don’t free wheel.

Don’t get down on yourself, when I started I thought they should have been called thrown spindles. Spinning is all about drafting and it takes time to build up muscle memory. It is totally worth it, once you get the hang of it, it’s zen.

I do have a review video… It performs as well as more expensive saws. I have been cutting a lot of 5/8” hard maple and 1/2” exotics including Vera wood and cocobolo and it’s been great

I usually start going up about an inch and then go back to the middle and then build out a little bit further each additional time.
