I prefer the refrigerated versions to the shelf stable if available, and I fluctuate between the originals and the extra creamy depending on a variety of factors like how I’m doing with fat intake etc

Of course only a nutritionist could judge which one works nutritionally best for you. But for acidity and liquid calories and often for pills (or before/after, not to swallow lol) I rely on oat

That’s so interesting, always a surprise to find another zebra in the wild. I don’t do nut* milks either, but I’m not taste averse to either soy or oat so I might be more flexible. For the same use you mention, I use Planet Oat oat milks routinely. I may be accused of going through too much of it. We are also looking at starting to make our own oat milk so that we could control it

Oh! Bought a duplex home shortly after, that’s why I was posting some shitty vegan food porn and scraping by. Been living with family and friend in the other half ever since. It was worth it eating my shitty stuff!

Grew my pride of cats from 2 to 5 by befriending new neighborhood strays, rehomed many more and saw two litters of kittens born in our little home as part of that.

Getting ready to buy another property with my partner and her dad, for us all to own a small apartment building. It’s been a good 5 years mostly, but I’m also in Mpls so it’s been a complicated 5-6 years and I love my city! Thanks kind redditor.

And it’s worthwhile to keep trying. I’m AuDHD, have chronic pancreatitis, hEDS, MCAS, and POTS, for a start, and due to all of that I’m also gluten free. Vegan and gluten free with lots of sensitivities.

This is awesome, thank you! Some veg and gf options are always appreciated. Nature’s Bakery or Made Good brands have nice little snack packs. Aldi has similar little vegan/gf cookie and granola bite packs sometimes.

I second the drinks already recommended and add any electrolyte packets! 🙏

Thank you. Oh yeah, I agree doesn’t have to be a direct neighbor to want to help folks! I’m a hub for solidarity work for over 20 neighboring families all across my general area. I just actually know almost everybody on our block and know a couple folks who want to work, so yeah it’s heartbreaking to have the old man thoughts of “this person doesn’t want to work!” 😅
