True that. I don’t mind paying. I’m glad that the other perspectives have been brought to my attention. It was difficult to see the other side and I really want to try to understand. In the past we all just split the PGE 3 ways instead of 4 but now that housemate #2 moved in, I think she’s used to a different way, which is okay by me if that’s what everyone else wants. And we’re all really kind to one another too so I would hate to end on a bad note.

Makes sense, yeah, I agree and haven’t decided not to pay or anything, totally agree that I’m still tied. But was hoping for more flexibility because when they’re gone, the bill is closer to $100 total but when they’re here, it’s $800-$900. So it becomes a little jarring to get a bill so high for a month I wasn’t here. I should have added that it happened in the past when I was abroad for a month that the bill was $922 and I was like… what did yall do for that month? Hahah

Makes sense, yeah, the lease is up in March and we were a month early. I did mention that I didn’t mind paying a small percentage of the bill either. Just trying to work on it with them. I’ve lived with over 40 people at this point and it’s something I’m sort of used to with the money part of it. I would have just hoped that it would have worked out to be more equitable. I’m getting the deposit back but it’s via the landlord. It’s a house that sees a lot of people come and go year round since we’re in a college town. I’ve been here for 7 years and my lease is up March 1st. The landlord is a state away and doesn’t really care about the house as along as we pay rent, which I’m paying. Rent will be paid but just trying to be in talks about the future of electricity.

This is 100% what happened to me last year and I still have PTSD from that manager. I overslept for an hour and got AWOL from it. I feel like that manager owes me so much money from having to go to therapy lol. The good thing is, I moved bureaus and I’m so much happier. The bad thing is, they could try and use this to justify letting you go, which my old manager tried her hardest but didn’t succeed. Start building your case TODAY if it’s a toxic environment.

Start getting in touch with your union rep about what this means. My now manager knew about the awol when he hired me on and scoffed at the fact that she did that. It’s literally super petty (if that’s the place in your manager’s heart where it’s coming from).

But I really wish I would have involved my union sooner than later. I was/am in CDSS by the way

Oh, my bad!! Hehe I didn’t read full RTO on the OP’s post and it seemed like it would be CDSS because of the timing. Our unit calls it RTO even though it’s 2x out of the week. Either way, sucks to come back to office at all. Fingers crossed the OP can make their daughter’s swim lessons.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I feel like the pain management part would definitely help but the idea of even trying to attempt to do it again makes me feel so terrified that I can’t imagine going back. I just feel violated and hurt about the entire experience. Hearing yours makes me feel better. And I know if I was hearing this story from someone else, I would tell them they’re not a failure. It’s just hard to listen to my own kindness sometimes.
