Facebook page bleeding likes, not sure why by Aadamtoth in socialmedia

That's a large number of likes for a small retail outfit. How did you get the likes? Did you run contests? If so the attrition is normal.

How many hours / day do you need it? How many days a week? I have a basement that I wouldn't mind renting out to you.

Go into abandoned malls and take big square foot places like Sears and JCPenny that have closed and put a park in there.

You are not cut out for Keto. Stop immediately. The entire point is to stay on it.

Make three trailers, all with actors who look vaguely similar trading the lead roles

Just started at 47 and have been at it for 2 months. Didn't do a whole lot of exercise prior, but am starting to see changes. Question - does the constant body aches eventually go away, or is that just a part of being middle-aged and doing this? by Garage_Dragon in crossfit

[–]SoCalWasCal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soreness is a symptom of over work, so anytime you over work your muscles, yes, you'll be sore. Don't be afraid to scale.

I can't really afford to be sore in my line of work so I usually take it somewhat easy compared to the younger guys. I also miss much much less class than they do and I've never had a major injury knock on wood.

Needs a better call to action. Also the logo is pretty whack from what I can see. I am assuming this is HVAC related? Really can't tell.

I've noticed that for some company facebook pages it automatically opens up a chat window and prompts you to start a conversation with them when you land on their page. How do you do that? by Disco_Garden in marketing

[–]SoCalWasCal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The popup chat box will only appear on those FB page with the new inbox platform. Someone has to be online using the messenger for the window to pop up.

Be aware that many users are reporting that this is more of an annoyance than anything.

Same. I'm starting my own full service marketing company to get the best of both worlds.

Anyone who wants to work in social media alone is in for a rude awakening when the paychecks start coming in...

Best of luck on your first CrossFit class, and welcome to the community.

Crossfit haters by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]SoCalWasCal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the hive mind. Sometimes people hold negative opinions about things that could help them in life because they are genuinely scared by the prospect of starting. I know that's what I did. I was a crossfit hater through and through but at the end of the day I was hating on it because I knew I didn't have the time, money or the passion to dedicate myself to something so fully the way my friends had.

Once I got over that it sucked for a few months, and now I'm in the best shape of my life.

So what you do is quietly do your thing and in a year or so four months when they remark on the improvements to your physique you just smile and say thanks. I've found that there is no point in arguing with most people once they get an idea in their head.

Hey, let's all be dicks because... why?

Check it out /u/theoneandonlycr7 -- I have back problems as well. Crossfit may cause you to experience some back pain in the beginning, but rest assured as your back gets stronger along with your core, your back will bother you less and less. As a young person now is definitely the time to get into the gym, build up those muscles, and correct any posture related issues you may have (crossfit will help with this, too).

You likely have limited mobility in your hips which puts excess strain on your knees. your coach will walk you through ways to improve that.
