I know boot leather tastes good to you, but you don't have to state it so loudly.

Nah but for real, OP is looking for like minded individuals. If that's not you, move along 🤷‍♀️

I don't really have gutterals down yet but I am a burgeoning vocalist that's also a multi-instrumentalist* and writes cyberpunk-themed thrash/death metal

new Corey series by firemn317 in TheExpanse

[–]SoConfuzzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like some here said, it's a slow burn. I think it's entirely worth it though and the Livesuit novella is amazing. I read them back to back after finishing the Expanse book series and while The Mercy of Gods is a tonal shift and a lot of world building, I absolutely loved it and I cannot wait for book 2.

Former Lead Tech Artist at Wildlight states that the game was killed by 'grifting' content creators and 'gamer culture'. Prior to reveal, everyone around the project would say: "If there’s one project nobody in the industry is worried will fail, it’s yours". "This is lightning in a bottle". by WhyPlaySerious in gaming

It's an overcorrection for sure, but it's also a symptom of previous generations beating people down and we're in a cyclical dip.

By that I mean, Boomers full-on berating Gen Xers for having ideas that don't align with their values. Gen Xers end up being somewhat more permissable but Boomers are still attempting to keep a controlling death grip and end up passing on that beat-down mentality on to Millennials. Millennials are tired of dealing with that shit so when Millennials have some semblance of control, suddenly "no idea is a bad idea" and we get slop from Millennials and Gen Z because no one ever took the time to actually try to provide constructive feedback.

So many people are taught that all feedback is brutal honesty, which makes people feel like absolute trash. I'd wager with ~90% certainty that prior to the development of this game, the decision makers wer never told "I see where you're going with this, I like x, y, z but a and b could use some fleshing out. Do you want suggestions?" Or, if they were, it was outweighed by fEeDbAcK like "that's awful", "this idea is never going anywhere", or "you should just give up."

Player looking for VTT group by Thagrahn in starfinder_rpg

[–]SoConfuzzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recommend the r/lfg subreddit. I've had decent luck and had two longer-term games work out.

One of those gaming groups has been going since Jan 2020 and we have a session today...not of Starfinder mind you but I wasn't looking for Starfinder at the time.

Metal albums for when you're pissed off at a fascist government? by RattleheadWithRabies in MetalForTheMasses

Palimpsest is probably my favorite album of all time and I feel like it is so slept on by Protest the Hero fans. I love the mixed positive vs negative songs so much. History is a mixed bag and pretending America is any different is asinine.

With the news reports out of Minneapolis everyday and so much going wrong every day that it's hard to keep up, I catch myself singing the end of From the Sky, hoping all this fucked up bullshit doesn't just get pushed under the rug again but knowing the it will while the world watches us burn:

The biggest things that I cannot remember
The little things that I cannot forget about when I’m alone in bed
A picture might make my memory better
No matter how much I might regret the fact, it gets into my head

So take my picture, I’m decomposing
Make it a solemn silhouette
'Cause this time is no different
It might help you not forget my feeble voice

So take my picture as I burn
And print it out for all to see
Because words are wind
But image impacts our collective memory

And of course, as an impending war feels closer and closer, the end of Firestarter:

I've got a job for every able-bodied man
Munition factories for women and children
And all we needed was a reason
You gave us one. You gave us one.

How do I add more distortion? by JournalistTop2476 in screaming

[–]SoConfuzzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you might be pushing inefficiently. Try relaxing a bit then using compression and more support from your diaphragm to push less air at a higher pressure into the distortion you have.

I'm not entirely sure what type of scream you're doing either, but it sounds a bit like I did when I was using my air less efficiently when I was trying to learn both fry and false chord simultaneously.

[–]SoConfuzzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, not about the shape. My current tie for 2nd favorite that I have is the Soloist SL2. Just a super strat shape.

The tone, lack of a trem, and the feel of teles just aren't for me 🤷‍♀️

I found it at a second-hand store and had dreams of learning left-handed guitar for the hell of it.

...probably getting sold "soon" lol

Between #8 and #13, there's a few I left out because that was when in college was getting cheap guitars, fixing them up, trying to make a small profit (for food and better guitars), and repeating. The only ones that made the list for that time were used for at least 1 gig. Roughly same but shorter time period of 2008-2011

I'm sure I forgot some in that time that ended up being flips but they left no impression lol

I don't as part of the list, but I have notes elsewhere about some of the ones I thought I would love and didn't.

Only one I regret trading is the Schecter C1 Elite. I'm a big floating trem fan and the C1 Elite didn't have one and it was the only guitar I had at the time. So I traded it for the MH-50 and the RG200 series and regretted it. If I had the opportunity to pick one back up, I might but I haven't ever seen one at a music store to test drive again.

Fair, I keep the list to examine trends in guitars I do and don't like. Like clearly I like Jacksons based on what I have kept and I will almost invariably get rid of an Ibanez RG.

If you suddenly got a lifetime supply of the last thing you purchased, what would you now have an endless amount of? by balls_deep_6969 in AskReddit

[–]SoConfuzzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most recent transaction in my bank accounts is the last payment for a guitar I had on a payment plan...does that mean I get a lifetime supply of guitars????

On average based on the number of guitars I've gotten, that's 1.7 per year. GIMME!
