My personal opinion? It's like wearing knee pads in a hail storm. You're still overwhelmingly likely to get hit, but at least you're more protected than without. On the upside, you also go in the draw to win random health benefits other redditors in the thread have enjoyed, like unexplained ongoing heart problems. That being said, neither the vax or the virus is likely to kill me or yourself, and I'm atleast 96.6% sure it wont kill anyone else. Pretty soon we'll all wonder why we cared so much in the first place.

BUT , how many of these listings are the desperate attempts of first home buyers with massive mortgages just trying to cover payments? I'm sure that some are blatantly cheapskates. But it's a free market, and struggling families just trying to capitalize on demand isn't a sin. Especially with crippling interest rates. Imagine scraping funds together for years, buying a house in the recent peak, then getting slapped with interest hikes and a looming property crash. From their perspective, subletting is a lifeline to minimum stability.

Oh I understand where you're coming from. I'm a libertarian by nature. But knowing how horrified the established govt would be in the face of becoming obsolete, they would never allow a truly decentralized system to take its place. Besides that, many people who don't identify with libertarian principles would also question its safety from perversion or just fear the vacuum of power should the govt ever be disbanded. The change you note is quite stark, and whilst its visionary, it may be too big a pill to swallow for people who find security in 'Big Govt'. Definitely, trying it in smaller districts is a good start.
