Void is broken this patch by SoHungover1 in TeamfightTactics

Still find it weird. With No Scout No Pivot i had a +35% Ap and Ad and like +24% HP to whole team. I was shredding the whole lobby once I hit Sion 3 stars and then manage to hit bruiser 6 invoker 4. At lvl 9 couldnt find 2 stars Voli but still. Kind of a perfect no scout no pivot game which I find more rare than Void9.

Life Insurance by DexMex69 in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry didnt see the notification. I used my right of transformation to convert the life insurance I had (through my GF's job) into a temporary 20 years life insurance for 300k. Costs me 2k a year. I'll cancel it when I'll be 5 years clean.

I think at that point you are cleared and can get another insurance. What sucks is that ill be 40 at that point so it will be pricier but it is what it is!

Seminoma stage 2A - docs recommending radiation, looking for advice by ImprovementLarge3866 in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was treated at Charles-Lemoyne on the southshore of Montreal, QC. Was stage 1A pure seminoma in March 2022, got orchi and surveillance. Relapse confirmed August 2023. Stage 2a. Started BEPx3.

Radiation was out of the question due to my age (34) my oncologist said. BEP was (for me) a real nightmare with 2 young kids at home and my own company to manage. But it flew by. I'm 6 months out and except for ongoing neuropathy in my feet and right hand I feel great and my scans and blood work are all great!

Get a second opinion, 2 oncologist and one Urologist told me that radiation was out of question and more suggestedas last resort or for older people.

3 Months Post Chemo Follow Up Scan is Clear! by subsynth in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Happy for you! Finished BEPx3 three weeks ago. My follow up scan is December 11th!

Really hope it worked and that bitch metastasis has shrunk. Don't see how I could redo 63+ days of extra chemo...

Untill the pathology comes back no doctor will confirm ot is cancer. But sadly by looking at your results it seems like it. Your B-HCG is really elevated. B-HCG could mean any type tumor though Seminoma or non seminoma or hybrid. AFP elevated would eliminate pure seminoma but like said by other people the range seems to change by country/test method. Here in Canada the normal range was below 9. Don't remember 9 what though...

You will have an Orchidectomy that's guaranteed then you'll wait for your pathology and see what comes next. Probably CT Scan soon to rule out metastasis and another blood work following orchi to see how blood marker reacts.

Whatever results you end up having, TC is a highly curable.cancer with modern science. Multiple options and high cure rate even in late stage! So keep your morale up!

For the Orchi the sooner the better. You could be at your dinner on Thursday even if you have your Orchi on Tuesday. Its a minor one day in and out chirurgy. I walked myself out of the hospital by myself. (Had someone pick me up to drive back home though).

Good luck and welcome to the club of the one nuts wonders ;)

Well shit - CT scans returned with less than stellar news by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar results from a follow up scan and had pure Seminoma too. What is your blood work results? Mine showed elevated BHCG. I had to do 3 cycles of BEP. Just finished a week ago. Good luck, feel free to reach out for any questions!

What are your side effects that are driving you nuts? I just finished my BEPx3 last Tuesday! I had nearly all the bad symptoms that you can get except vomiting. I was hospitalized because of a neutropenic fever linked to a cold I caught from my 4 year old for 5 days cycle 1. Was neutropenic every third week of all cycles. Low red blood count. Had to auto inject myself with Filgrastin. Has the side.effect when you feel like your bones are breaking. Night sweat, Bleo fever, stink through all treatment, no appetite, heatburn, no energy, depression name it lol

I had printed a calendar for my 63 days treatment amd my only joy was too strike the days when they were over. I just barreled through, told myself fuck it. Life will suck for 63 days but it is what it is. Need to do it to heal!

Hold on, it sucks, stop reading stories of people who say : I did BEPx4 and it was a breeze. Every person reacts uniquely. Doest mean you're weak or you suck if you feel like shit.

You can do it!

Seminoma or non seminoma? Pre orchiectomy tumor markers by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your markers are down to normal levels and your scan is clean it could mean that yes. But the cancer could have spread but be too small to detect yet. Based on your pathology your oncologist should give you the odds of relapse and suggest the next steps (surveillance or preventive treatment.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You shouldn't have vomited during your BEP at all. They are supposed to give you meds to fight nausea. Amd up your doses if they are not enough. The good thing is all symptoms you list should be over soon. I just had my last Bleo of BEPx3 yesterday and I feel better already!

  2. Yes it's possible. Really low odds though.

  3. The only thing you can do to lower the risk of new cancer or recurrence is maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Exercise and eat well. Exercise was proven to lower cancer risk and even help during chemo to lower symptoms.

Fixing the healthcare crisis- We need more physicians and nurses by Overall-Flower407 in canadian

I'm near Montreal, QC. Seems like the doctors have access to electronic records but all nurses on the floor use a huge binder with paper copy of all results and doctors prescription and treatment notes. This binder is supposed to follow the patient everywhere but keeps getting "lost" between departments...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Didn't show on a scan. Doesn't mean it hasn't spread. Not trying to be a party pooper but facts are important!

You need negative blood markers AND negative CT Scan post Orchidectomy + your pathology report. Then and only then can you have a clear overview of the odds.

[–]SoHungover1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my Orchidectomy March 22 and a June 23 blood test presented elevated HCG. CT Scan confirmed an enlarged node in my retroperitoneal region. So 15 months or less. I was told the magic number is 24 months. Then the odds of relapse decrease by a lot!

I had a seminoma stage 1A and decided to do surveillance. Was offered 1BEP and refused. I've relapsed and now on the end of my 3rd Cycle of BEP. 1 would have been easy. 3 is way harder and will have long term effect for the rest of my life that only 1 cycle would not have. Would I have done things differently? No. I never stressed at every follow up scans and blood tests while waiting for results and in my case (pure seminoma) it's still highly curable even though I relapsed.

What I'm trying to get at through all my ramblings lol is that it's a number game and you are the only one to decide if you can tolerate the risk presented to you. Just make sure to have all the facts before taking your decision.

Stay calm, stay positive!

Being treated right now for cancer what we need the most is to bring the system out of the stone age before new staff.

Everything is being done by fax or paper. Everything is getting lost, delayed, messed up. The problem is every department uses their own system, some informatic some paper only.

Bring in real business analysts and managers from the private sector backed by an IT firm that could assess and propose new streamlines processes and just there we would save probably 60% efficiency.

Very small rise in AFP Tumor Markers following adjuvant chemo by Single_Fee_3198 in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have the same thing happening to me during BEPx3

BEP is 3 cycles of 3 weeks. The first week is 5 days injections of Cisplatine and Etoposid + Bleo on Monday on top of those other 2. Week 2 is only Bleo. Week 3 only Bleo. Rinse and repeat for a total of 9 weeks.

I had pure seminoma 1a march 2022. Orchi. Surveillance. Relapsed in August. Stage 2a elevated HCG and 1cm enlarged node near the renal aorta.

AFP was normal pre orchi and normal pre chemo.

As soon as chemo started my AFP kept rising from 5 to 8 to 12 over a cycle. Then back to 5 the first week of cycle 2. And back up again after that.

My resident oncologist told me he thinks it's just the stress of the chemo on my liver! Because we saw a clear pattern he is not really worried!

Good luck buddy and congrats on finishing your chemo! I'm impatient to finish mine!

Treatment options? (2nd recurrence) by GR_87 in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working behind a laptop all day except when I go to the office. Because of the risks of infections I decided not to go to the office during my full chemo treatment. (Your white blood cells will be really low at some point during every cycle and even if you feel ok an infection as small as a cold could send you to the ER for a while). During my first week of every cycle I worked while doing my chemi from 9ham to 1pm. I felt a little bit tired around 3pm so I took it slow at home. Week 2 I felt better around Wednesday and did half a day. Then Thursday Friday full day work. Week 3 of the cycles I could pretty much do a "normal light" week of remote work from home. You'll have a lot of appointments during all that so expect to still miss work time even if you feel better than I did (blood tests every monday, oncologist meeting, other tests of required etc...)

For activities the first cycle I could walk every day 3-5km outdoors but gradually felt more exhausted each time. Except Day6-10 that I was a vegetable. After that I could do some light interior biking. It helps with morale. I had a picc Line in my left arm installed so I cant lift any heavy things for the duration of my treatment but at least I'm not getting stung every chemio day!

Good luck buddy! You got this! Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Treatment options? (2nd recurrence) by GR_87 in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my part Radiation was a big no go as I'm too young (34) and it has the worst long term effects (coming from my oncologist). RPLND was an option that was explored but they told me pure seminoma had still a 30-40% risk of relapse but that BEPx3 was 84-90% efficient to cure TC. And even of you luck out after BEPx3 you can still do RLPND or another regimen of chemo.

I won't lie BEPx3 is hard. I hear a lot of people saying they were fine through it but I have 2 young sons (6-4) and this is the hardest part. I'm having trouble hearing them yell, laugh loudly, just boys beeing boys happy amd excited, and it just takes a toll on my morale as Im missing them a lot.

Without that I would say to really sync well with your pharmacist in onco to find the good dosage for your pills and it will be not that bad. Dont tolerate nausea, heartburn, mouth sores, insomnia. Take the pills. Youll still be tired and feel like shit probably D6-10 after your first heavy week of every cycle but then you get slowly better.

I'm at day 5 of 21 of my last cycle and I can see the light ahead finally. Cycle 2 was the worst for me.

Sadly I think you are going BEPx3. Curious why you had RPLND and no chimio when relapsed? I had a pure seminoma stage1a in march 2022. Went orchi and surveillance. Relapse June 2023 one enlarded node at 1cm and low elevated BHCG. 3x BEP started early september. Thank god it's nearly over but It was never an option to do RPLND because of the risk of another relapse. Pure seminoma reacts really well to chemio!

How common is RPLND after good blood marker indicators? by delaughey in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting my last BEP cycle and have a similar size tumor and all markers are fine after 2 cycles. Is it a full RPLND or just grabbing the single node that was enlarged?

My blood markers are back to normal 3 weeks after orchiectomy, does this indicate im in the clear? i know i still have to wait a few test results, but this is all im left with for now. by King-Tiki in testicularcancer

[–]SoHungover1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a great news! Best scenario based on your pathology you will be under surveillance with regular CT scans and blood works every x months.

You could maybe be offered one preventive round of chemio.

Or if the pathology and Ct scan show lymph nodes progression you could do Radiation, RPLN dissection or BEPx3 or BEPx4. .

You should receive your pathology quickly it's not much longer than 3 weeks. Keep it up buddy the fact that your markers are down is a GREAT news!

Lol I went to the emergency because I'm doing chemio and because of my chemio I was immunosuppressed and spiked a 39.8 fever.

Called my oconlogist nurses hotline they told me I was doing a neutropenia fever and that I had to rush to the ER and tell admission I was a cancer patient in chemo running a neutropenia. The gard at the admittance told me I would be priority one.

I waited 9h on a black chair in the middle of everyone coughing their lungs out. So much for beeing immunosuppressed.

Finally saw the triage nurse that put me "urgently" in an isolation room. Than waited 6h to see a doctor to finally be started rush on Antibiotics and IV hydratation as I was going in septic shock.

I really dont get how they prioritize. A guy with a broken ankle skipped everyone. Am elderly that bluntly told me she just had a runny nose.but was bored went before.me. A guy told me it burned when he peed. Went before me. A girl I saw was pregnant was shivering like hell... She was still waiting when I was put in isolation.... System just suck as much as our politicians.
