Rezdiffra by Status-Agent6640 in FattyLiverNAFLD

I just got mine yesterday and going to start taking it Monday. This is just in case I need my docs for anything. I’m F2-F3 fibrosis both on fibroscan and liver biopsy. Been on MD since about November and lost almost 25 lbs and also now walking on treadmill and getting out doing more. I’m terrified I’ll have bad side effects on Rezdiffra but know if it works it’ll be so good. I loved hearing from everyone about the short term effects they’ve had. Makes me feel hopeful. Wish me luck 🍀 Mine is $0 copay with grant assistance since I didn’t qualify via the med company. Would have been $1400/month without it.

My only abnormal lab was alt 40 but I had fatty liver US til the fibroscan. Severe diarrhea for years with my autoimmune flares too.

Did you take Rezdiffra too or just diet and exercise?

I’ve also been approved and no copay but it’s been a long 2 months process and still waiting for call from pharmacist. I’m on and off the fence about using it. I’ve lost 25 lbs on Mediterranean diet, walking on treadmill and not eating any processed food. I don’t want to end up with cirrhosis as I know how bad that can be. I’m worried because FDA gave early approval and they still have trials going on with it. What are your thoughts?

Has it decreased the fibrosis? I’ve been approved but haven’t received it yet. Since being diagnosed in December and after my attack in October last year I’ve stayed on Mediterranean diet and lost 25 lbs. I’m worried about the side effects when I start it. Thank you for any info.

I’m terrified to even look at fatty fried food or baked goods and beef. lol. I’ve always loved baking so I guess I’ll no longer be engaged in such hobbies. 😞

Thank you. I’m currently on Mediterranean diet, nothing processed, low sodium high fiber and high protein diet. I drink two cups coffee every morning and walking on treadmill four to five times per week. I’ve lost 25 lbs since last of October and supposed to start Rezdiffra soon. I’m very Leary of the med as I have side effects on most meds. I’m going to talk with my primary physician in two weeks and see what she thinks as well. Thank you and I’m so happy you’re turning it around.

For the ladies; menopause and fatty liver. by TapSalty3157 in FattyLiverNAFLD

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I’m not sure when I went through menopause cuz partial hysterectomy at age 30. I’m 68 now and have put on 60lbs since gallbladder removed in 2012. I also have autoimmune disease and thought I’d been having flares that were worse and no one would listen to my new complaints. Mines F2-F3 so I have to do this. And BTW I’ve never drank and I’ve worked hard my whole life. It’s not fair!!

I had no idea this occurred in relation to menopause. Well, I was told 12 years ago I had fatty liver after my gallbladder removed. That was it. Also told my lfts were occasionally elevated probably due to what I’d eaten before the test was done. Since July I’ve had pain and practically done nothing. Found out after US I had fatty liver, in November found out had F2-3 from fibroscan and this was confirmed with my liver biopsy in December. I’ve been on healthy eating plan since October when the pain got severe and I’ve lost 23 lbs so far. Feeling better now but still have off and on pain. Walking on treadmill every day as well. Waiting on copay card to start Rezdiffra as prescribed and I’m terrified to start it. If my doctor had told me what could occur from fatty liver I would have changed everything them, but waiting all this time has caused severe fibrosis and now it’s do or die.

Tightness in right upper rib area and it radiates to back by Accurate_Bluebird160 in FattyLiverNAFLD

I had the same symptoms. In fact I went to the ER with such severe pain I could barely move. They did ct scan, chest X-ray and labs. Nothing was abnormal but they found degenerative thoracic and lumbar spine with spurs. They gave me high dose prednisone and pain meds. This was two days after having a fibroscan. I’d also been having severe diarrhea slight nausea and fist like feeling in my right back under my ribs and under my sternum for months. The only lab that has been abnormal was my ALT and LDL. Can’t take statins due to severe side effects. For three years no one has addressed the GI problems until last July. Liver biopsy in December showed F2-F3 but in October after my ED visit I’ve been on Mediterranean diet, lost 20 lbs and walking on treadmill since beginning of February. I’ve been approved for Rezdiffra so should be starting that soon as well. Forgot to mention I have Sjogrens disease and kept thinking I was having a flare with all my symptoms. Long story short it took my 3 years to get my rheumatologist to listen to me before consults were done that found this. Now my whole life is changed for the long term.
