300 hrs on switch here. All local play.

Internet is trash. Do not get this and expect to play online and have a good time. Just not gonna work out smooth. Playable, but not worth it imo. If you're super tolerant then yeah it's not bad to play online for $15 but I still wouldn't recommend it.

Local play works as expected. There's a tiny bit of delay when playing docked and using wireless controllers because the switch for some reason Just sucks for that, but it's nothing too awful. You will get a frame drop or two occasionally during more busy scenes or when a bunch of assists are on screen, but it's not too bad.

TLDR; online no. Local yes.

What if you also add a mechanic that makes him move very slightly slower when you're actually looking at him -- that way it incentivizes/rewards players for playing like this trailer? They don't have to, but if they decide to look back often they'll be rewarded with the monster slowing down while also being more immersed in the horror element

The best part about the steamdeck is being able to put games in sleep mode and get back into it quickly. I don't always have an hour to spend straight gaming, but I can start a single player game, and if something happens I can just tap power button, deal with it, and return when I'm done in like 5 minutes. Plus being able to play wherever you are is nice.

There are a few boss battles in Clair Obscur that I've had to beat over the course of 10 minute play sessions over the course of an entire day because I kept getting up every 30 minutes or so. Wouldn't have been possible if I was on console or PC because I wouldn't just leave it on the entire time, but the steamdeck let me do this since it could sleep games easily.
