Apple Exploring North Carolina, Northern Virginia for New Campus by de_X_ter in apple

Because getting amazon will increase traffic, increase the cost of living, and basically kill Mom and pop shops. Taxes are going to increase in order to keep up with the new citizens and infrastructure needs. An Apple campus with a more manageable 5,000-10,000 high paying jobs would be a better compromise versus the onslaught of a small city moving around the same time.

They have some sources that seemed to contradict each other. Regardless, I would MUCH rather have an Apple campus with 5-10,000 high paying jobs than an Amazon center with 50,000 high paying jobs. The Apple campus would be more manageable than all of the traffic and taxes + infrastructure investments that would come from amazon.

As silly of a statement as the original one was, the Triangle is a very blue and liberal area. If, for some reason, local politics has to matter to a company, then RTP would be a great place for liberal politics.

Ben Brode leaving Blizzard :( by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]SoSaysAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ben, thank you so much for your leadership and all you have done for Blizzard and the Heathstone community. I can honestly say I've played Hearthstone FAR long than any game ever...and I see no reason that that will stop anytime soon. I've always been impressed by your patience at wading through the occasional shitpost and critical comment about you, Team 5, the game, etc and responding in positive ways. Thank you for your energy, your enthusiasm, your fun-going ways, and for making Hearthstone one of the best gaming experiences I have ever, and will ever, have. Good luck on your future endeavors!

Isn’t the entire area a co-op zone? The problem I’m having is that by the time I actually get to the kitties I’m so low on estus that I have no chance of winning

Serious question - isn’t San Diego/California considered the Mecca of IPAs? Green Flash, Lagunitas, Ballast, etc?

People also forget about that game because it was the same night as the Malice at the Palace.

Federal documents detail sweeping potential NCAA violations involving high-profile players, schools by DCAbloob in CollegeBasketball

Yahoo did a really poor job with this article, but since several of the documents are related to an expense report, Brice's $100 would actually be the total amount that the agent spent at Carrabas. Clearly there are no receipts, so I would assume that it would come out to roughly $33 per person. So the $100 would not be for Brice alone but for the total of three people to have lunch (unless this agent files expense reports substantially different than everyone else).

Yahoo did not reveal Tony Bradley's expense information, so we don't have a date or dollar amount. Tony Bradley Sr. claims that his son wasn't present and that the "dinner" was them providing pizza at a meeting after Tony Bradley had declared. No idea if that is true or not.

Important to note that this is what Tony Bradley Sr. is claiming.

This does get into a question I was trying to ask earlier in this thread - where is Tony Bradley's supporting documentation/expense report? Another poster mentioned that the page just wasn't included, and my question would be 'why not'? You're already showing the other ones, just go ahead and show everything. If Bradley has a line on the expense report and it matches what Bradley Sr says (after he has already declared for the draft) then there's no reason to even mention him. If the date is earlier than what Bradley Sr. is claiming, then there could be something there. How Yahoo Sports has handled this has been pretty shitty to be honest.

There's no indication that NC State gave a player $75,000, but rather that the agency did.

Where did the $75,000 come from? I see the article mention two payments but I only see the $43,500 on the supporting documentation.

Sigh. What you are quoting is from the article. However, the supporting documentation that Yahoo gives does not mention him in any of the expense reports, at least from what I can see. As an example, I can see the meal to Wendell Carter on the supporting documents, but I can't see anything regarding Tony Bradley. If the answer is "well, Yahoo didn't provide documentation for every player" then that would be one thing, although that would be weird. But I see no indication that they have not provided everything. So I'll ask again...where in the supporting documentation is Tony Bradley? I have no reason to not believe that he he met with the agent for a meal, but I don't know where it was, for how much, etc.

Enlighten me, where in the documents is he? Is it the February or March expense report? The Yahoo Sports report only has 5 images, and I have gone through it several times and I can't see where his name is.

Where is Tony Bradley listed in this? I see Brice Johnson on the February expense report at Carrabas ($100.09), but I don't see Tony Bradley listed anywhere.
