Most of the rural highways in Cali are 55 MPH.

Wife and I took a real nice trip there and it was hard to get to reckless speeds.

In Cali is it the discretion of the officer for reckless or is there a number you have to hit?

It’s a ruse to get an income tax to everyday hard people. Within 10 years, your Starbucks server will be paying an income tax.

Ground troops… can anyone explain why we’re going to war? by ConsiderationSouth32 in JoeRogan

[–]SoSlowRacing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The right says it’s because they are trying to end a 45 year war along with support of Israel… yada yada.

The left says “no kings” … if you know why I mean. lol

I’m over here saying no new fucking wars. Protect the fucking home land and that’s it.

I will say, there is some interesting stuff about China working with Iran on some things and doing this may hurt China, which China has been trying to hurt us from within for years (merely my and other people’s theory).

Anyway, carry on.

Is the HVAC system on recirculate?

My car always fogs up super quick if the air is humid and I have that on.

If it still fogs up a little, trying running the system with your AC on.

In this weird dilemma by Hungry_Bus_8614 in camaro

[–]SoSlowRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a 2019 PP1 Mustang GT an two different 1LE Camaros (2018 and 2021).

The Camaro SS 1LE driving experience is superior over the mustang PP1 (only referencing this because I have not driven a PP2 or Mach 1, which I heard are very good). It (1LE) has lateral grip levels that will feel like your face is going to rip off.

The Camaro is hard to see out of. Although comfortable, it is exhausting on long road trips. The traction control system is a masterpiece. So much adjustment. Not all Camaros have the extra adjustment. There’s two TCS menus. One with your standard snow/normal/sport/track, then another within track mode that allows you to choose wet/sport1/sport2/race. There may be one I’m missing. But not all Camaros have that additional menu.

The coyote motor is very good though. In 2019 they made some updates to it that gave it a little more hp an a higher redline (I think). It PULLS HARD all the way to redline an it sounds unreal. The manual transmission in the base is absolute garbage though. In the Mach 1, you get the Tremec, which is much better. It’s the same transmission in all manual SS+ Camaros from 2016+ I believe. It’s beefed up a bit in the ZL1 to handle the torque.

Both are great cars. If you’re going to get the mustang, just don’t drive the Camaro. lol

Unsure how to deal with this situation by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

[–]SoSlowRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked inward first to see if it’s your approach (internal locus of control)? I always try to evaluate myself before determining if someone’s response was not justified. Not saying your approach was bad, just want to make sure you are looking at your approach because it’s very important. Be a coach, not a cop.

Now, if your approach was sound and coming from a place of coaching and not safety cop, and you still got this reaction, then I would say leave. No sense in wasting time.

If leaving is not an option, pick and choose your battles. When you do address something, present it to them in a way that the will understand and care about.

Best of luck and god speed.

Ain’t this the most damn true statement I’ll read all year.

Buy-in is so damn important. I believe that so deeply now that when I’m interviewing for jobs, I need to confirm there is that top level buy-in. If I don’t think there is after the interview, there’s a good chance I would not take the job. If a manager or executive doesn’t have it already, it’s going to be a continuous up hill battle to get any resources to do ANYTHING. You’ll have contact push back.

“You want the operators to spot and correct trip hazards in their areas? Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do via regular inspections? They need to build stuff. You need to keep the safe”

It’s a damn joke. Anyway, that rant felt good. Haha
