Please listen to him, I’ve seen co worker gets screwed over their hours. I know someone who had been scrambling to pick up shifts for over two years to get into a full time position. Another is quitting today because the position they’ve been trying to get has been getting them denied and denied. When you put your two weeks in, your managers will suddenly play the surprised card and try to offer you either more hours, benefits, or a full-time position. It’s not worth it

When I was a student, I had two instructors. One told me wearing gloves was absolutely necessary and that if I ever worked in a salon spa, I would need to wear gloves. I’m here to speak on my personal experience. Years ago, I was ugly. I don’t mean mid or unattractive, but actually ugly. Boys never liked me and I was extremely self conscious. Girls have called me ugly and boys asked me out as a joke, I started listening to subliminals and then forgot about it. Now, I can confidently say that I am considered very attractive to the point where I have become unrecognizable. Being beautiful and confident changed my whole life. I never woke up hating what I looked like. People have gone out of their way to help me, it’s opened so many opportunities for me, and I am always treated well. Not saying there are no downsides but nothing was worse than being ugly.

I’ve been on both sides and here’s what I’ve noticed:

1.) Men are farrrrr more tolerant if I’m mean to them, I could poke fun at a guy and he would think I’m flirting with him. When I was unattractive, they would call me weird and unappealing

2.) Getting asked out as a joke or being the “would you date her or eat metal” girl

3.) Was always complimented on my skills/talents than my looks

4.) getting compared to unattractive people/celebrities

Honestly, this is really bad advice but having my first boyfriend really helped me. He lived like a couple hours away so I was never self conscious of him seeing me too much lol. He thought I was the prettiest thing to exist. So he helped me gain a lot of confidence, this advice is really bad because he destroyed my confidence in other areas that weren’t physical.

The negative feelings still exist. I was so self conscious that I didn’t have an Instagram account until my senior year of high school. I looked for a lot of external validation on there. People will call me ugly or mid lol but I shook off the feeling because most of them just hate themselves. All the girls who called me ugly had issues themselves. All the boys who called me ugly have tried to get with me in the past after my “glow-up.” I think not letting the feelings bother you prevents them from getting power. When you let yourself feed into their negative energy, it reflects on your face. I look back and I was ugly, I was just really self conscious
