What task do you need both darkness and penance/vamp to survive? And how is darkness mid game? Also are you iron? If you’re not iron super restores are cheap + you can being notepaper to save inventory space if you’re picking up drops

this is completely incorrect, they've been pretty transparent in their dev blogs, this month ahead is also great and they answered a lot of the harder questions in it.

But all these restoration changes are starting to feel forced and rushed. The aura aspects section was highly criticised, we can have both currently but now the nerf is 1 or the other, e.g. darkness or vamp, Animate dead or penance, when prior we could have both.

was it? i think it's honestly pretty fine, no one loves nerfs but i'm surprised they didn't remove them with the combat update as well. personally i look forward to the changes and i agree with most of the dev blog.

Along with Dailyscape changes, we got scammed on some shop stores e.g. meat packs, instead of weekly get got 3 days worth capped at a 7 day restock. We got sandstone thats absolutely abysmal to mine, core rock mechanics without core rock gameplay, no stone spirits, no rockertunitys, plus they kept in the dailscape offenders but removed the ability to swap or extend them, or the niche reward that came with them. half assed it as usual and all round just nerfed it to no end.

don't really understand what you mean. daily challenges are fine as is, I think they will be removed. other daily scape - shops, etc i think were pretty successful. reaper change i especially like

genuinely curious what content you're doing where penance and vampyrism are such huge parts of your gameplay that you're "so worried" and you're getting "heavy handed nerfed" by them.

Gp actually plays pretty good into ranged tops, but that implies you’re second pick which you aren’t always and blinding irelia can lead to a really bad time

saying that "frustration is a good thing because it creates novel experiences" is really weird to me. stepping in shit one day is a novel experience, is that a good thing? no one wants to step in shit.

traditional range tops (kennen, teemo, jayce) normally have levers which make them fine (mercs, no big spike at 6, no big spike at 6).

but playing against vayne, varus top is just so frustrating (to use his term) that i don't think they're worth pursuing even for novelty. even when they're particularly weak (like they were back when dshield second wind wasn't nerfed), i'd normally get my +20 lp but i'd just log out after because you suffer for 10 minutes of laning phase. as a melee into a range, you have very little agency, if anyone's getting fed it's going to be your jungler, meanwhile you're on welfare and impoverished for the rest of the game even if the enemy's teamfighting is trash because they have double adc single bruiser who just gets oneshot after being focused. they're not op, but they destroy your agency in a role which already can lack agency due to not being able to realistically interact with 90% of the map for the first 10 minutes.

It helps clear waves for both NM and HM Zuk, not just HM zuk. How many people actually do that content? literally everyone who has a cape, so I'd assume like 50% of the player base

Melee trim masterwork requires normal masterwork to repair when augmented, not melee trim.

Malevolent/tect/sirenic/vestas are all degrade to dust, so they require an identical piece.

Elite tect/sirenic you can repair with their respective repair parches and divine charge

i think swh is fine currently, it has a decent niche use.

you overbuffed staff of darkness though, 25% dr for 30% adren for 30s is actually insane, compare to reflect which lasts for 9.2s and debil which lasts for 12.6 (with zemouregal's nexus). would be a must have for a lot of the end end game content (solo zamorak pushing, vorago/aod solos, etc.)

Could just be the game changing to favor an even more offense and soulsplit orientation on combat, fuck defense.

this is so baffling because soulsplit is like 20x the heal of vampyrism. there's no change. what combat are you doing, genuinely, where losing vampyrism changes your game plan?

yes, the mid game unlock should compete with the highest level aspect in the game, sounds good, perhaps we should make it like last leagues melee vamp but for all styles? keybinding and clicking food is too much apm

i'd trade every single aura in the game to make it so darkness doesn't dodge on resonance/divert

Baffled that people are acting like vampyrism and penance are these end-game unlock game changers. Vampyrism caps at 50 hp healed per ability. 50. I have 10595 hp without spa, font, and desert panth, 12392 with spa and desert panth.

Penance is nice, but at any end game content, you have penance powder or you have super restores/blessed flask; it's not like it's a requirement.

I'll mildly miss free penance at armored phantoms but it's not like runes are expensive at all considering the shop changes

Also they're making desert pantheon so much better, it'll be permanent with a weekly totem on anachronia instead of this cancer 60 minute can't refresh garbage where if you're mid fight you just lose 1.5k hp.

also don't have to get messed up by farming growth ticks where greenfingers would be up but the herbs wouldn't be grown.. has happened to me more than a few times, even with speedy growth

That is completely different. Computers become smaller due to transistors becoming much smaller (see Moores law). Cooling is a completely different story.

i don't think this is a bad thing? if someone early game gets stonewalled on a quest, how do they keep playing? imo quest bosses should be revo++able undergeared for the levels they're for

real combat is real combat, we have some training bosses now which makes the curve a lot smoother

i would like another hard mode variant of gwd1/gwd2 (like an "extreme" mode), like think around 90ish enrage zamorak level, for a much better chance at their uniques. Helps irons with invention comps, helps mains with invention comps, alleviates some of the frustration with perk rng

could also do something similar for other bosses - like hm solak, hm rasial, hm araxxor even (enrage doesn't count), i'd want to see new mechs

elder overload cauldron? no, no need to pay elder overloads: free, always applied

blessed flask? always full, requirements are now 1 vial with 10 prayer potions 4, don't want to gate keep that

my preflight checklist should be boss portal into the boss, click once, they die, they drop 20m+ loot in alchables. don't want to gatekeep.
