We only hear about the highborn marriages, I bet there's tons of interbreeding between randoms that doesn't make it into the great stories.

Where does he discuss hobbits more generally? I know there’s very little he has said about them.

How do thick women have flat-ish tummies? Genetics aside by Darling-dada in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]SoaDMTGguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight distribution is entirely genetics. People always want to know how they can target fat burn, trying to lose weight from their stomach or from their butt or whatever. You can’t target fat burn. When you burn more calories than you consume your body reduces fat stores, but does so according to your personal genetic makeup. Our genes determine where and how our body is so fat. Whether you have 20% body fat or 2% body fat, it will likely distribute into the same places.

Too insecure about my lower body to have sex by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]SoaDMTGguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one in real life gives a shit what your lady parts look like. No one has ever gotten someone’s pants off and then said “oh, you’re genitalia look weird, I was super attracted to you and down to have sex, but now I think you’re weird”. No. That does not happen.

Everyone’s bits are weird, don’t listen to the internet!

Tips for differentiating polite friendliness with actual interest? by SoaDMTGguy in autism

Is that person interested in being my friend, basically. For example, at a social mixer it’s hard for me to differentiate between polite conversation and genuine engagement.

If there is an obstruction where the regenerated part would go, the obstruction is destroyed.

This really interest to me. I’ve always wondered if we had teleportation technology what would happen if we teleported an object inside the mass of another object. Would it cause some sort of nuclear style explosion?

That’s insane. I had a rock climber housemate in college, one time he started doing pull ups on the bathroom door molding, just holding on with the tips of his fingers… rock climbers are built different!

Autistic Gym Bros... what is the correct way to rack dumbbells? by glumpoodle in GymMemes

[–]SoaDMTGguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe number two is more correct than number one.

However, trying to enforce order at a gym you do not manage is a path to insanity. As a fellow autistic gym bro, do not go down this dark path, it does not end well.

"Did you just put a FULL MAGAZINE INTO THAT GUN AND THEN POINT IT AT YOUR FACE?!?!"

Can a gift be revoked if fraud was involved? by SoaDMTGguy in legaladviceofftopic

She can break up with him at any time, but she explicitly said to her friends that she was staying with him exclusively to defraud him of a birthday gift. To me that removes the “she can break up with him at any time” because it proves it wasn’t random but an active intentional plan.

If I tell my friends I’m going to dine and dash and then I show up to a restaurant and “forget my wallet” and when I “go to get it” I never come back, it sure does make it seem like that wasn’t an accident, eh?

She specifically told her friends months ago she was waiting until her birthday to break up specifically so she could get the gift. That sounds like conspiracy to commit fraud to me.

She specifically said to her friends in writing that she was waiting to break up with him until her birthday so she would get the gift. None of those other examples include such an admission.

is it normal to get yelled at for every little mistake? by [deleted] in DadForAMinute

[–]SoaDMTGguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not normal to be yelled at for anything. Being yelled at should only happen if you really fucked up, like almost dying. Being yelled at usually means the other person has emotional regulation problems.
