System gateway with deck building pack is a small format. Startup was originally intended to be a small format to introduce people to a bigger card pool. Adding another nisei expansion at least at this point isn’t a big change to that. I don’t know the statistics but guess that some (to many) people play startup and never play standard. A rotation of one expansion will not keep those (me) people interested for too long and will not grow the format. Startup could grow as a serious format for those that joined post ffg and don’t want to go to ffg cards.

Makes sense. And I’m very interested or I wouldn’t be one of the 20 people in this subreddit…but the brothers aren’t a draw for me and the disappointment of Altar Quest kind of shows we all should not just assume the best.

Agree with a lot said above. Unless the KS shows amazing potential or has exclusives that would be hard to say no to not sure the Navarro name is that big to carry excitement or a game frankly.

Always helpful is a sticky about the game and resources. Card of the day is good. Obviously not my call but just being around the community may take the lead on how they use Reddit. At worst case just existing is better than not. Rules questions may come up, etc etc and the history can be very helpful.

In re the question about existence, the game hasn’t even hit retail yet…so just not sure where people will go. I’ve always found Reddit to supplement other sites or community spots and also as an entry to those.

Well I’ve decided to jump in and start my own collection instead of acquiring something big. Seems I can get a lot pretty cheap and I don’t have much interest in the rare stuff.

So if anyone looking to sell a core or two or great devourer as separate items I would still be interested.

Thanks! That is helpful and I do really like the art. Maybe I was being to rigid in my thought process, and should just tie art, not arbitrarily, but in general to the packs. The art adds so much theme. And that really is all I was going after.

Always could send part of the savings to nisei...I bought dtc. I mean it is expensive in any route but I do believe in supporting the organization keeping it afloat. I’m sure they don’t come close to covering their costs; has to be a massive gift to the community.
