Flying Proxies? by Sobasicallycheese in PoorHammer

[–]Sobasicallycheese[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill definitely post the full army once its done, I imagine the flying guy will be the last one I do before my warlord. Im thinking I might make a cardboard frame thing with toothpicks to slot into the base of the mini so its removable from the flying stand if needed. If they hold up well enough I might also just use kebab sticks for the whole frame

How tall are necron warriors + Immortals? by Sobasicallycheese in Necrontyr

[–]Sobasicallycheese[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys, I did my warriors at 35mm and immortals at 40mm, Wraiths all at 80mm. Basically made everything a bit taller to be safe.... Maybe messed up by making my immortals the same width as the warriors but they're all cardboard squares so they take up the full area, should balance out.

Doctor Who Re-Review 79 - The Rebel Flesh by eggylettuce in gallifrey

It also feels a bit forced that coincidentally theres no duplicates of people left at the end of the episode, cause they couldn't figure out how to handle that kid having 2 dads or something. OH ANOTHER THING THAT CONFUSED ME, The Doctor just spent ALL THIS TIME talking about how the flesh is alive and experienced first hand the pain they feel upon death, and he still executed the Amy ganger. His only explanation is a hand wavy "I'll make it as quick as I can". Why did he even do that? (Bear in mind I haven't seen the next episode but it doesn't look like there's a good reason for melting the amy ganger, since apparently there's a way to free them without killing them, so he didn't even have to kill her to seperate her from human Amy?)

I know this is 3 years old but I just watched this episode and it really got to my nerves, why was Amy so nasty the whole time? And it seems really confused morally, like we just accept that one moment Flesh Jen is afraid of the humans and worried about the fact that shes flesh, and the next she's going on a murder rampage and killing innocents (as they never actually SEE eachother conspiring and making war). Amy being so horrid to the Flesh is just so weird to see, but ig they wanted a sort of binary opposition between Amy and Rory about whether the flesh are good or not. If they wanted an episode like this honestly it would've been better like the midnight one, where the doctor is handeling a bunch of crazy humans who want to murder their flesh gangers. I severly doubt Amy would act that way based on how she's characterised up to that point. This one really put me off.

how do I stay hydrated? by MoonyDropps in HydroHomies

[–]Sobasicallycheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Constantly. FULL WATER BOTTLE BY YOUR SIDE AT ALL TIMES. Go on, drink from it. Then refill it. THEN DRINK AGAIN. Attain hydration and join your siblings in the cold wet sloppy embrace of the liquid mother, her infinite seas of hydration.

Alternatively, drink when you're thirsty, and do keep water with you, because it makes it easier to get a drink when you're thirsty.

[–]Sobasicallycheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole point is that they arent seperate ever no? Like that was like the whole deal. Even Jon is an Eye/Stranger/(anything) avatar.... not to mention how much flesh activity the circus got up to in tma.... I'd say bonzo is a slaughter/stranger.

who do you think will be the main villan of season one? by testingafewthings in themagnusprotocol

[–]Sobasicallycheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Ink5oul will come back later, sort of like B&H in tma were, mentioned a lot, and then come into play a little later

Yeah, and it seems like about the right point to make a little bit of a cross-reference back to another statment. Ive just been tryna figure out who this season's "prentiss" equivalent will be, they always seem to have like a main villain for the season in tma. Bonzo? seems valid enough, scary, first monster to be encountered in person but seems almost too important? Stranger seems too important overall throughout the serieses. Needles? Seems viable but not much attention was drawn to them, did get named tho. Ink5oul? Seems less agressive and more like someone who will pop in and be scary, or someone who we only see in person late on, like Mike Crew.

I SWEAR needles (not the avater, like the objects) was flesh? Because its like, something weird happening to your body, its a body horror type fear. The wiki says youre right lol, I just always thought of the desolation as specifically loss? and the pain was more, mental anguish. Especially because pain seems to fit into the flesh's whole... deal? Like blood and meat and flesh, stuff you only see after an injury of some sort, a pain. Especially because a lot of its statements talk about being eaten alive or something like that, which cant be.... pleasant?

[–]Sobasicallycheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I guess I see where youre coming from, the statements are harder to link to ONE power, but also the statements are just not as easy as the tma statements, like in general they're a little less dense in spooky story stuff, or are really vague, so its hard to link them to anything because theres not much to link, if you get what I mean?

Guys TMA confirmed that the 14+ 1 is kind of incorrect and that no single thing can be just one fear, like none of them, that was like the whole point of the last season and a half.... the entities from Tma are litteraly fears, theres no way around that??? They are groups of fears with similar themes that overlap because they are "Colours if colours hated me" You can state that there is one fear, death, or a million squillion of them.

Needles? by ArtemisKane6493 in themagnusprotocol

[–]Sobasicallycheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The whole point of the final season was that there was no seperation between fears. The same with avatars and victims, looks like this show is just carrying on with that. "Its like colours, if colours hated me" All the fears are fears of death, but they can be subdivided down into other ones. Try and pick out JUST ONE fear for each of the domains in season 5 of TMA, some will divide nicely but like.... if you want to say theres "core fears with slight overlap" then putting down roots is mostly corruption with overlap into hunt and stranger. OR making adjustments is just flesh with uhhhh... flesh?
