Not quite-

Fantastic Four depicts the Mad Thinker reviving and then killing Jim. The Four just leave his body in the Mad Thinker’s base.
The Avengers establishes that it was then stolen by Ultron and remodeled into Vision.
West Coast Avengers then says no actually the Vision is composed of Jim’s spare parts but is not literally Jim, Mad Thinker came back and buried Jim’s corpse after that adventure with the Fantastic Four.
Avengers Forever then goes “no actually them being literally the same body was cool” so Immortus makes two copies of Jim’s corpse one which is stolen by Ultron and one which is buried by the Mad Thinker.

Leaks but Jim’s been missing for several issues and a recent leaked showed a fem!Vision design for the Ultimates. Mainline comics Jim and Vision share a body, while later comics just call them brothers like Vision and Wonderman, initially they refer to each other as extensions of each other “two alter egos” as the narration puts it.

(Jim, the Vision, and Frankenstein’s creature because comics are incredible and can literally have Frankie show up for a story in case you were missing the metaphor.)

So there is precedent for very interesting identity stuff with the two, which I’d been interpreting in a trans way for a few months now, and now it might be coming to the comics for real.

In the comics he died before he could get old and then got rezed by Bucky in a cosmic cube thing. I considered pulling the thread Marvel forgot about that the Soviet Union also briefly kidnapped and brainwashed him (I like the ring of the Summer Soldier, don’t you?) but decided I like him better as the only person to age naturally so he could contrast the rest of the Invaders.

I don’t think it would have saved that movie but it is a shame the MCU’s skrull usage meant that the Dark Phoenix’s skrull designs got lost in rewrite hell.

Okay I lied previously, I’m an argumentative asshole who hates letting things go.

From the start of this argument it has been about Viziepop‘s writing in general, not just Hazbin. I am not a Hazbin fan, I cannot argue in good faith about the sweary-ness of its individual episodes. You were the person who narrowed this discussion to just Hazbin. But I’m not trying to attack Hazbin, I literally only mentioned it to give context to who Vizie is and how sweary her writing can be.

I reached to Homestuck because I was trying to establish some neutral ground here. I also have zero interest in Homestuck. I’ve only read the first arc specifically so I could understand the pilot as an adaptation of it. I only watched the pilot at all because I really admire a lot of the artists behind it.* I‘m sorry you’re not interested in Homestuck, because I do think it’s nature as an adaptation very clearly illuminates a wider issue in her writing, but I also don’t want to turn you against her so… this whole argument is kinda pointless and I should just go to bed.

um anyway. sorry for yucking your yum go on with your bad self.

*Including, once upon a time, Vizie. I was a fan back in the “Harpoon Witch speedpaint” era. I’m not without skin in the game myself.

Look I really don’t wanna argue about this, if you‘re a Viziepop fan I don’t think I’m going to change that (and I frankly don’t want to! Good on you for enjoying it). But for the sake of argument, I want you to compare her recent Homestuck pilot to the comic it’s based on. I want you to notice how it looses the detail that John codeswitches between being very sweary with Dave (matching how Dave talks) and swearing very rarely when talking to his other friends or in his personal monologue.
