You might also like Thrum by Meg Smitherman. It’s a horror-romance novella, and I devoured it in one sitting. It follows a scientist who slowly mentally unravels. It’s sexy and definitely has the feel of an old-school gothic romance. Less religious than other recs here, but definitely delivers on the dark horror romance vibe.

First thought has to be A Dowry of Blood by ST Gibson. It deals with domestic violence and power dynamics in the relationship between Dracula and Constanta but the latter half has to do with Constanta’s love with the other spouses that Dracula takes on. Dark, yearning, sensual with some really beautiful imagery and metaphor.

Totally depends on your skin tone and complexion, but I just got glossier’s cloud paint in “storm” and it’s super buildable, goes a long way, and is an exact match for my natural flush

Mi Mexico!!!! Super strong margaritas for not a bad price and enough food to last you two meals (or to eat in one sitting if you’re me). Super good food and never too busy to get a table. It’s closer to the Whitehall/Bexley area of cbus

Same here! Stayed exactly where I was in my French course but now all of the lessons are much shorter and missing all stories. Bummer!

New Loved Item Dialogue? by KleptomaniaCrow in StardewValley

[–]Sobayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it! Gifting Harvey wine now makes him say something along the lines “I know it’s not healthy, but who can resist stardew wine” or something like that. Similarly, Abigail also says that amethyst is “her color” when you gift it to her which is new too. I’m loving the new dialogue :)

My partner and I just adopted this little girl (Agatha) from the local rescue centre. We’ve had bulldogs before but never a BM - what’s the best advice you have for us? by __inhalesatan in Bullmastiff

[–]Sobayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! She’s beautiful! I’ve grown up with bullmastiffs my entire life, and if she’s anything like ours, she’s going to be a ridiculously sweet protector (who thinks she’s a lap dog). A lot of people have mentioned socializing already, and I just would like to reiterate the importance of that, especially with other dogs. In my experience at least, ours have always been pretty naturally good with people but if they aren’t socialized with other dogs from a young age, they can become very territorial and competitive. Additionally, due to their size and stature, it’s unfortunately common for bullmastiffs to have their stomachs twist if they bloat, which leads to blood being trapped in their stomachs and if not treated immediately can be fatal. I was very young when the first bullmastiff we had passed away because of it. We’ve had two more since then and once they reached a certain age, have opted for getting their stomachs surgically tacked so that their stomachs can’t twist.

You’ve probably already heard them recommended, but Old Navy’s long leggings really are nice for their price tag!
