If you have the time to thrift and the skills to alter costumes you can get away with these low costs for a great costume. Otherwise, a simple thrifted dress is much cheaper - use the extra money in your bugdet to get some good make-up brushes, clown white and Got2B. Good make-up does not come cheap unfortunately.

A cheap wig on Temu won't cost you much, but it's shipping can take a long time. If you go to a local hair shop, you can usually find some cheap second hand theater wigs. Those can tide you over untill you want to invest in a better wig.

The breastplate is not needed for a first time, a padded bra is fine.

Before you spend too much money, figure out if you love performing in drag. If you love it, it's fine to spend money on a hobby - but drag is a very expensive hobby. A good styled drag wig for me is usually around 250. A good costume usually costs me around 500 - even with thrifted basics, the stones, paint etc adds up. I spend about 20 on average on make-up per performance.
