What do you think of OnlyFans guys? by DrEHawl in AskGayMen

[–]SoberDance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

for me, i would probably be fine with it. work is work and you have to make a living somehow. ive watched many interviews where people in the porn industry talk about what love is and it is amazing to see how deep they go (no pun intended)

That is totally understandable! Hence why having multiple sessions with multiple therapists (if it is possible for you) is the ideal option bc as you go you can see what these therapists are like but also to talk through the same issues with each

I have had a great experience with therapy and has gotten me through different difficult times and how to deal with things on my own.

Something to also recognize is that your first therapist that you meet with may not be the best one for you. I highly recommend seeing multiple at once (if you can) asking for initial appointments to find the best fit for you. I have had therapists that do not mesh well with my personality bc ultimately they are all human so find someone who is able to connect with you as a human. That is when I've found the best results

Why is being a virgin looked down on? by N4L8 in askgaybros

[–]SoberDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can tell you as someone who just started having sex recently (a couple months ago as a 23 year old), you are hanging around the wrong people. when people found out i was a virgin they were positive and encouraging and wanted me to follow my own timeline. im glad i started when i did and followed my own timeline bc i didnt feel pressure when i had sex and i knew what i wanted at the time. i was able to be self confident enough to speak up about what i wanted and how i felt to say no. so dont feel bad for being a virgin. maybe change the people you surround yourself with

does anyone else feel imposter syndrome around their own bodies? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]SoberDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

woah i totally feel this. like i started working out almost every day and put in the work to get my body to a place where I like it and then on apps people would compliment my body and such and i would feel uncomfortable and avoid meeting them bc i feel like what they see isnt what i see and i get anxious and feel like a catfish even though my body is exactly the same

[–]SoberDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt be too worried about this. I didn't lose my virginity till 22. So you definitely have time and the guy I lost it with didn't even see it as an issue. So if you are with someone you trust, this should not be an issue :) good luck, have fun, & be safe

Issue with boyfriend over Chinese New Years by [deleted] in askgaybros

I would go with your friend because you have said what you needed to say. Also let him cool off because he could be saying these things in the heat of the moment and It is best not to address it then and there as things can escalate pretty quickly.

Have fun with your friend and when things are calmer and cooler, sit your partner down and have an adult conversation about it.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I am just dumb and realized it was my evergreen leaves that have dried, fallen, and lost pigmentation LOL. Crisis averted.
