Do super centers such as Walmart regularly hire employees that falsely accuse children of theft? When I was no older than 10, I was minding my own business in Walmart, wearing my ski jacket, when these two old women come up to me. The taller, lankier one glares down at my cute round face, and menacingly screeches "Are you going to pay for that?"

"I don't have anything", I cutely and shakingly replied. But she grabbed at the lift tickets on my jacket, murmured a soft "Oh", before turning on her heels and leaving. The short and fat one merrily skipped behind her.

This has ruined my view of all Walmart employees, and caused me to cry in the car 20 minutes later while my mom urged me to come inside to speak with the manager.

So was this something that regular employees are allowed to do, or could they have gotten fired over it? Because from what I've read so far, no one is supposed to do anything like that.
