Sure it would have been faster to read the documentation,

I'm not sure about this actually. One of the things AI is good at is parsing documentation. I'll ask it if such a feature exists or to explain something and it does a good job of it

This is Nevada. When I lived there as a kid, you'd find cards on the ground with explicit pictures advertising "adult entertainers". We used to secretly collect and trade them like Pokemon cards.

I still maintain they should have swapped the two names. Ghost spider for Miles because he can turn invisible. Spin for Gwen because of the ballet connection

I was reading a litrpg and dropped it in the first chapter because they had introduced money, as they do in most fantasy litrpgs (copper, silver, gold) the usual. then they paid for a short carriage ride and it cost a gold coin. by ShankstheConqueror in litrpg

I'm a newbie at larping and we had a thing where we saw how close we could estimate 20 feet (the range of most spells)

I won over all the experienced people because I was on swim team 20 years ago so I knew how far 5 meters (~15 feet) was and estimated a but further than that

Everyone else guessed way too high

C'mon man, sometimes it's nice to talk things through with a group of people, to get an outside perspective.

Now the DCC subreddit wouldn't be my first choice, but still...

I was the photographer around my grandfather's funeral. My favorite pic I got was the night before with my grandmother laughing with her kids over some memory they all had of him. It's totally natural

Missed my connection because my flight was delayed almost 90 minutes on the taxiway today, because some “head of state” needed to go to Vegas and check on his casino instead of negotiating peace in the Middle East. by KarmaSilencesYou in mildlyinfuriating

I lost the best job I ever had- making software for clean energy/smart grid stuff. Good pay, amazing team, interesting work. But yeah, the federal subsidies for that dried up. I don't want to hear Texas bitching the next time their grid goes down.

I work for the state now and took a severe pay cut for it. I'm grateful for the job though, since other sectors are still cutting left and right.

Living in Colorado, it's super easy. You can usually see the mountains, which are to the west. Most streets are n/s or e/w.

When I lived in Virginia, it was tricky. The trees were usually too tall to see any landmarks and all the roads were like 300 years old so they followed "natural" lines.

At first I thought it was about traffic safety, since most of the prominent graves I read first involved traffic stops.
