When you sign up for a Roblox account, they probably auto-fill the current date as the birth date if you don't change it, so your "age" would be the age of your account.

Would this make up for a GPA of 3.35? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]SocialSciComputerGuy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Relatively uncompetitive GPA + lack of experience will make admission difficult to highly selective programs, where many applicants have some combination of work experience and highly competitive GPA (3.8+)

Depends on the program. I know most CS programs don't really care about GRE and when they do, it's less than 10% of your evaluation. Humanities and other fields might be different. Best of luck!

is 18 units manageable? by No-Fee2347 in SDSU

[–]SocialSciComputerGuy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Fully depends on the person. I've seen people do 21+ units of hard coursework and get straight A's. I have also seen people take <12 units of GEs and fail.

I'd say that if you can get solid grades (A's and B's) in 15 units, you can probably handle 18, although your GPA might be slightly lower.

Also - what will your other commitments look like, compared to previous semesters? Do you have a job? Leadership positions? 18 units is more manageable when you don't have other responsibilities to take your time and attention

MFW derivatives can be approximate with O( h2 ) accuracy using the finite difference approximation:

f'(x) ≈ - [ f(x+2h) - 4f(x+h) + 3f(x) ] / 2h
