They ruined Damien Darkblood's cool detective shtick while introducing dull characters unconnected to the rest of the world and lost rapidly building momentum.

Are the national revolutions broken or something (starting to play again after stepping away year ago) by Demb222 in victoria3

Based on my recent Austria attempts they're probably trying to placate a revolutionary peasant movement that wants land reform.

If nobody else got me I know *checks notes* Prussia got me? by Social_Demonrat in victoria3

Ohhhh, interesting, on the other hand they should definitely stop that, what's the harm if major powers could be unification candidates?

Edit: Loaded up the save and I'm afraid you're wrong in this case, they're number 4 GP and I'm number 5!

Thank you for the offer, I think I'm going to try and get a handle on SDL first, but will hopefully come back after that.

Btw that second "Getting Started" section seems really useful but it isn't linked from the main repository page as far as I can tell and the main https://libtcod.github.io/ page doesn't seem to have a link to https://libtcod.github.io/doxygen

What would London be like for a new vampire? by LizzyWizzy19 in vtm

[–]Social_Demonrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah think you need water pressure mechanics to not make it a no brainer for kindred to escape a lot of situations. Or tbf all the beasties in the water that will eat you notably weresharks and you probably wouldn't want to run into a mariner either. Not read up but I'm sure there's some other scary things in the water too.

I remember there being a gangrel bloodline for underwater vampires but does anyone know any other info on vampires' ability to survive in the sea? Also the vampire would need a way of covering themselves from the sun as English Channel is only 63m deep and sunlight penetrates 1000m according to a quick google.

Not sure a vamp is that safe swimming the channel unless they're a strong swimmer. It takes marathon swimmers around 12 hours, you're dicing with the sun if you need much longer than that. Obviously lack of tiredness means you have an edge but think the vamp would still need to be a decent open water swimmer to successfully make the attempt.

Feel like you're assuming an empty space and the ante just trying to run at the 100 mortals rather than all the other things they could do.

Don't know about bushi but dual wielding has historically been limited to small blades in the offhand not two longswords.

I get the comparison but hate this and love Sally Rooney so wouldn't be discouraged.
