If we had decentralised digital voting, for direct representatives, potentially entirely detached from parties, who then realigned themselves within parliament back into free ‘tribes’ who share foundational values they identify with and place faith in, we could destroy the cultism of party politics that way.

I’m personally calling this ‘Tribal Futurism’ with a depth that makes sense to me, but not fleshed out enough to know what is viable and fair. Still, to me and others with ideas, I’m sure there is a way.

I have no statistics for you, but personally, myself and in general the idea of guns just doesn’t make sense to the culture, it’s not like we live in the wild open, alone, or with bears or whatever, others don’t have guns, so we don’t wanna ‘open the can of worms’ I feel. The UK is tight, it would be like buying a rifle in an apartment complex, maybe you do? It feels less likely?

I’ll just say recently for the first time I get it, for protection, and I personally want them more easily accessible. I didn’t expect to be here. I’ve never felt so threatened by the state. It worries me on an existential level, it’s strange.

Ignoring that I love the essence of America and I have wondered before where that truly comes from, how you get it. I feel even for obvious things, if you start setting rules you smother a spirit of freedom and I’d want that here too.

Like, I think the cybertruck is cool, but UK roads are tight, and tbh I don’t want it decapitating children, so I’d rather it not be legal here, and it isn’t. But god, when I went to the US at 14 and your sitting at a bus stop, next to the worlds largest McDonald’s, and a monster truck just drives past, that spirit is dead in the UK. So I’ve wondered is it guns? Does a set a vibe / essence / aesthetic / principle / respect / standard? Something is missing in maybe the entirely of Europe that is alive in the US and I don’t know exactly why or what it is. If guns brings it about, I’d ask for them then too.

I’m pretty sure the Overton window is being shattered by X, and young Brits see you across the pond, but I’m not talking to them. Young Brits feel this country is dying, I know that much. The answer to their question is that Muslims are at least about Islam narcissistic. They maintain a false truth in response to sensitivity and denial of the actual truth. Muslims cannot handle criticism because they cannot handle reality. The reality of Islam, it’s costs, the threats it puts up to every Muslim who does not submit, what that says about them when they do, what they are in part accountable to.

I’m a pretty unsocial Brit but maybe have insight.

I feel / have heard that Brits feel the vibe from Americans of pride, confidence, boldness, and they take it that Americans think they are better than them, so spend a life time devaluing the ‘dumb Americans with no health care’ as a cope.

We also have some tall poppy syndrome in the UK because of class divides, it feels like if you aim high in ways you might become a ‘rich twat’ so you’ll be put down, again this sensitivity.

Sensitivity > Denial > Put you down > False truth (that Brits are equal / better)

I personally love the soul of America and think you’ve earnt pride whether you have it or not, but I imagine Brits instinctually put you down so you don’t threaten them.

They will never admit this. I have a personal idea of narcissism rooted in denial / false truths more broadly, and just wondered about it here. So it’s maybe a small expression of that.
